Dongle won't work with 4D Embroidery

I blocked something that I shouldn't have. I think it was
c:\windows\system32\HASLMS.EXE
Now my dongle won't work--even with systems back-up. When I try to get 4D Extra, I get message "unable to access HASP SRM Run-Time Environment (HOO33)"
I have 4D Professional Embroidery System

    I try to open the program (4D Embroidery), but I receive the message "dongle not found..." but the dongle is connected!!

Unfortunately some people are having this problem when they are not properly installing the updates. It's important that when 4D is installed that you assign a particular port for your 4D dongle and always use this port when loading 4D. Have your dongle plugged in and access your configure menu. Click on Smart Update. Download updates into a file where you can find them. Follow the directions for each update. For the driver update, you must uninstall the current driver you have and then install the update for the driver. If installing the updates doesn't fix your problem, the only solution is to completely uninstall 4D and all of its components and then reinstall it. Sorry...but this has been the only way to fix it with some systems. Also, make sure your User Account Control is off before installing 4D.

Check the specifications on your sewing machine. Most machines have not yet been upgraded to use Windows 10.

I use 4D Pfaff Embroidery Suite. I have lost the dongle and want to know if I can use another dongle which came with the basic 4d Embroidery Program when I bought my Pfaff Creative 2 machine.
Hi Jenny. You cannot replace a lost dongle. Unfortunately you will have to purchase a new 6D system to replace it.

How do I activate my dongle for 4D Monogramming and Vision software when it tells me that I can't?
I don't have 4D, so this is a guess, but I do use a lot of different embroidery design software programs. That message sounds like possibly the software has not been installed. If you're positive all was completely installed, It might be a good idea to call 4D support for their advice. If you are installing on a new computer be sure the software is compatible with your operating system. My laptop which has windows 7 on it does not recognize mmy dongle
there is an update for windows 7 and dongles at the husqvarna viking website.

When installing the 4D Embroidery System onto Windows 7 computers, the dongle drivers may not initially work correctly, as the 4D Embroidery System installs a set of dongle drivers which were created before Windows 7.
Download and install the latest dongle drivers prior to installing the 4D Embroidery System. Failure to do this, may result in the "Dongle driver not found (E0009)" when you try to open the 4D modules.
Please follow the steps below to install the latest dongle drivers BEFORE installing the 4D Embroidery System
  1. Download and install the latest Dongle Drivers.
  2. Insert your 4D Dongle.
  3. Install your 4D Embroidery System software (and all updates).
  4. Open your 4D Embroidery System software to confirm that your dongle is working correctly.
If you installed the 4D Embroidery System software before installing the latest dongle drivers and if you experience problems such as the error message "Unable to start hasplms service..."; download and install the latest Dongle Drivers.
