I have a sanyo Model # ds27820. I had a dvd player connected to it and disconnected it for use in another room. Now that I am reconnecting it - it won't play anything. What am I doing wrong?
When I turn it on I see snow and can hear the static.
I do not have a white connection of any kind.
I am not finding anything to set the 2 on the same channel -how would I do that?
thanks for the help. When I turn it on I see snow and can hear the static.

What do you see on the TV screen? Are all the cables from the DVD player plugged in correctly, yellow to video in, red to right audio in and white to left audio in. Do you get any sound? Is the TV set to the right input.

Maybe your connection is wrong, look at back of your dvd player and find the yellow socket and that's a video the red and white is for the sound. using the color coding connect your dvd to tv, be sure that the terminal that you use is audio/video input

The set is indicated and seems to be a Sanyo DS27820 and the other expert has a valid idea---have it connected and turn it on and then go to the Menu and SELECT or HIGHLIGHT that input in order for it to see the input.
I would also suggest trying it on more than one if the first does not work.
Unfortunately you need the original remote. There is still a good chance you can find a Sanyo universal remote. Check your local Circuit city or Super K mart or Walmart and look inthe electronics sections. I have often seen the Sanyo universal remote! And yes it will have the options you are looking for. Good Luck!
hey, unfortuntly i don't think the problem is with your dvd player but with your tv. I just searched the net because i'm on my second trutech tv that lost color. No matter where i plug it into, either the front or back composite connections i still have no color. I've tried multiple dvd players and even bought a converter so i could plug a dvd player into the coax connection. still a no go. horrible product
