INFO:EQ
Sens is ussually a term for the more common "remote
" wire. You will need to look at diagram to be sure but Im about 99% positive that in your case the sens wire is the input wire for a switched ingnition, especially since you say it is located next to theGND and BATT wires. You will need to connect the SENS wire to 12v hot, similar to the BATT wire but this wire will need to be switchable, meaning it can be turned off and on, say when you turn your key on and off, or when you turn your radio on and off. For example, the remote wire output from the back of an aftermarket cd player, ussually blue with a white stripe or just blue, or the ignition wire of your aftermarket radio, ussually red, or the ignition wire of your factory radio, or any 12v switched fuse in your fuse box. They will all work. In a worse case senario, if you have trouble locating a true ignition wire, there is a short cut. If the EQ has an actual power button that you can turn on and off, you can make this short cut by wiring the SENS wire to the 12v hot BATT wire. Then you can manually turn the eq on and off with the power button. Just remember if you wire it up this way, and forget to turn it off when the vehicle is not running, after about 24 hours or so, the battery may be drained somewhat, and you'll have trouble starting your vehicle. This is definately your last option.
The BATT wire needs to go to the hot in the BATT or the memory ( yellow) from the aftermarket CD player. The GND needs to be connected to anything metal in the car that is connected to GROUND, for example the frame work of the dash board that is metal, or the ground wire from your aftermarket radio ( black).
The rca input will be the RCA;s coming from your cd player.
the rca output will go to your amplifier.
Placement is completely up to you.
If it came with brakets, placing it flat against the underside of the dash board should work. But it could litterally be anywhere, and any where where it will suit your needs. Glove box works well too, so does in side the arm rest console, if you can get you wire to reach good luck.
