I need the front panel connections location, which ones go where for the ga-73pvm-s2h motherboard

Gigabyte has the manual for the GA-73PVM-S2H on the product support site: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2691#manual . The full manual is near the bottom of the list. The direct link to the English version of the manual is http://download1.gigabyte.us/Files/Manual/motherboard_manual_ga-73pvm-s2h_e.pdf . The Motherboard Installation Guide at the top of the list is a generic manual for all motherboards.

The front panel connections are shown on page 28 of the manual. There are two lines of pins. From left to right, the inside line of pins are the Power LED +, Power LED -, Power Switch +, Power Switch -, then the Case Speaker +, Case Speaker -. (The speaker - is next to a Case Fan connector; so there are a couple of blank spots between the speaker + and - pins.) On the line of pins at the edge of the board, again from left to right: HD LED +, HD LED -, Reset Switch -, Reset Switch + . There is no contact on the last pin in this group.

I hope this helps.

I have motherboard Compaq #277498-001 and can't find power sw

Not sure of your particular MB, but most always the switch is a pair of pins in an array where the front panel LEDs and reset and power switch are.
This array of pins is almost always at the lower right hand side of MB. Assume the components side is facing you and the expansion slots are at your left hand, (where you add extra cards like video etc). then look at the lower right side or bottom edge, mostly right at the edge of the board. Should be an a double row of pins, at least 8 maybe up to 12. Look real close next to these and you may see print indicating which pair do what. PS = power switch. RS = reset, HD = Hard drive LED PLED = power led light.Spk internal beep speaker etc. (Note LEDs require correct polarity to work) Sometimes no print there.. Then you need the manual to decipher pin pairs. Or experiment. All you need to do is make the connection momentarily (like push button) with a small screw driver tip to start it, while looking for correct pins.
If no power on check your power supply connections on the MB. Or suspect either MB or Power supply issue.

I have an MS-7502VER:1.2 motherboard and i cannot find wher to plug the power switch into

Hi scouts692

The Front Panel Header Pin arrangement for this motherboard is unusual, in that the header only appears to have 8 pins in a single column rather 2 parallel columns of 6 Pins with 1 blank, as most conventional motherboards do.

Pin 1 is POWER SWITCH orange or red (PWR SW 1)
Pin 2 is POWER SWITCH white or black (PWR SW 2)
Pin 3 is POWER LAD + (PWR LED -)
Pin 4 is POWER LED - (PWR LED +)
Pin 5 is HARD DRIVE LED - (HD LED -)
Pin 6 is HARD DRIVE LED + (HD LED +)
Pin 7 is RESET SWITCH blue or green (RST SW/RST 1)
Pin 8 is RESET SWITCH white or black (RST SW/RST 2)

Please refer to a PDF of the Motherboard Manual for additional information about the setup of this motherboard (the relevant page for the Front Panel Header is page 17/Section 2-13)

hope this helps.

Front panel to motherboard, ASRock P4i65G, connections

the power switch is on the 3 and 4 pins....the 7 and 8 pin are the reset pins. Trying it on wrong pins just won't startup the board but won't short circuit anything.

Front panel pin layout. I need the front panel pin layout especially for the HD IDE active LED.

Howzit
Trial n Error is your best bet on the control pins panel there are two rows, with the power plugged in,with a screwdriver touch adjacent two pins together at a time starting with the top row then the bottom row, when you touch the right two pins your motherboard will power-up, then place the power-switch plug onto those two pins (the writing on the plug facing innwards toward the mainboard) the two pins for the reset switch and 99.9% of the time located directly next to the power switch or directly above the the power pins on the other row. For the LED lights you will have to just try the different pins and the Power LED will remain on as long as your mboard is on, but to find the LED pins for the Harddrive you will have to plug in your HDD and then when it powers up try the pins and the led for the HDD will flicker on-off, that would be the correct one. Dont worry your mboard will not be damaged by this in any way. Goodluck and let me know how you go. Thanks
