My water pump leaks, What all should I replace while getting it fixed. It is a 2000 Ford Contour with 108,000 miles. At 80,000 my late husband had timing belt and other belts changed & tuned up. I have new alternator, head gaskets, new battery and some censors replaced. I am seventy years old and would like to keep it in good running order. I have new tires and new headlight assembly just recently installed. Can I keep it going or should I give up and buy a new car.
That's a very good question...but I gather that this car has been taken care of and should be in very good shape and with economy the way it is..I see no reason to get a new car...My advice..Just get the water pump replaced and happy motoring....and don't let any mechanic try to sell you something that you don't need...I'm sure that you've heard the expression"If it ain't broke...don't fix it."..I hope this was heplful...PEACE.....
