No. I have not changed the EPROM. I have copier knowledge, but am very unfamiliar with Minolta. The code just came up out of the blue. I asked the customer if his power had flashed before it happened, and it had the night before. I was wondering if there was a reset for this code, or is replacing the EPROM the only solution. Imaging unit toner detection failure - during concentration read operation (F8), the result is less than 1v. Replace the developer and retry the F8 procedure.

Sir/Mam,
Your ATDC sensor located in the developing unit or main board is bad. Have you recently had the developer replaced in the machine and did the person doing that use a vacuum cleaner to clean out the old developer if so then the static electricity form the vacuum cleaned destroyed the sensor. NEVER USE A VACUUM Cleaner to remove developer in the developer unit.
Sir, It is the document feeder, the Di620 is a very old MINOLTA machine, but you mite find a (NOW) Konica Minolta dealership that can update the document feeder EPROM (Erasable Program able Read Only Memory) chip located on the document feeder control board. It has to have its program updated to correct this problem which gives this code. Let them know you have the Technical Bulletin # 2617b they will not be able to call it up but mite be able to contact some one at Konica Minolta tech support that can get access to very old MINOLTA technical bulletins. Additional info is Knowledge Base # TAUS0645133EN00. Then will have to hope that Konica Minolta has keep the Firmware for the chip????? Maybe in JAPAN!!!!!!!!!. YOUR ASKING ALOT TO GET THIS MACHINE TO RUN!!!!
it is a sensor problem, try a hard reset on it but making sure all is plugged in and on then unplugging it from the back. That usually solves the issue unless the sensor is actually gone then it is a cheap part but expensive to replace.
That error code means that the you have a problem with the fuser unit. You are going to have to replace the upper fuser roller. The fuser roller and the heating unit is all one unit and is known for arching out. Good Luck in finding one.
