SOURCE: lowrance x135 not functioning properly

Had the same issue with another brand. Turned out the transducer cable was picking up noise from other cables (power, trolling mtr. etc). Try moving the transducer cable away from any other cables. I put the cable in a 1/4 " plastic housing up to the point where it was above deck and it stopped all the strange stuff. Not sure about the temp issue??

SOURCE: proper set up for lowrance sonar

Where do you use your boat?

There are so many variables it's hard to fit it all here, but there are some excellent tutorials on the Lowrance website. The most important thing is to pick the right frequency, for the depth of the water. (200khz for less than 70', and 50 khz for greater depths). Depending on how serious you are about fishing, there are a lot of extras that you may never use. The key is to figure out which features will help you the most and forget about the rest.

It's common for SONAR to lose contact with the bottom at high speeds. The better the transducer installation, the faster you can go. Turbulence and bubbles will cause the SONAR to drop out. Lowrance's transducer installation guide explains it very clearly.

Lowrance X135 blows in-line fuse and won't power up? How to troubleshoot

First, follow the wire from the fuse to the unit. It may be pinched or cut somewhere between those two points. Seems simple, but this happens often. If the wires look ok, You could also try a fuse one size bigger. If it blows that fuse, then the problem is in the unit, and you will have to sent it out for repair.

I have three cords comming out of my power cord witch of the three do i use

Usually one is the data cable that fits to the back of the display unit. The other two are red and black power cables. The red goes to the positive side of the battery and the black to the negative. That's basically it.
