Please explain your situation more clearly. For example: What mother board do you have? What is the name of the computer? (ie: Make/ Model) Did you buy it new? used? did it ever boot up and run without issues? If so, what can you recall as far as events prior to problems? Thank You... Lynn:)

Install any opratins system
1.insert bootable CD in cdrom .
2.boot from cd.
3.format your hardisk partition or creat partition and then format it.
4.setup the files.
5.follow the instruction.
I think problem could be solved.

Disconnect the cmos battery (remove clock batery out) wait and insert back the batery... p.s. Bios setings setting becomes the default date and time so the same ... Then you come into the system bios and adjust its settings and the date and EnJoy 16x16_smiley-happy.gif

When i start PC; BIOS seting opens and says clear

  1. pls read the user manual first to identify which pinds of password jumper to normal position
  2. Reinstall the jumper in a different position. For example, if you removed the jumper from pins 2 and 3, reinstall the jumper over pins 1 and 2.
  3. Replace the computer cover and reconnect the power cable and monitor.

You can now assign a new system and/or setup password. For more password information, refer to the Passwords section of your computer'sservice manual.

BIOS DISPLAYING INCORRECT CPU SPEED

Hi, I have to agree "...that the motherboard's bios doesn't recognize the processor and that I should upgrade the bios...". Though I think that this is only a display issue and not necessarily true CPU speed. You can check if the correct CPU is displayed inside Windows by right click on My Computer and details would be shown in the System Properties. To upgrade the BIOS: 1. Determine/log your current BIOS and its date by pressing Pause on initial boot when motherboard details are shown; 2. Continue booting by pressing escape and run your Windows normally. Go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer and verify if they have an updated BIOS (compare date of release). If an updated BIOS is available, download. Likewise download the flashing utility. Further instructions are also available on a step by step procedure. Some newer mb versions/models have a Window based update feature. Check if you have such. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

I could not access BIOS or anything else on my computer.

Starting the PC without memory will result in a ?beep code? error, which is the beeping you are hearing. Replacing the memory should make the beeping go away. As far as accessing your BIOS if you PC won?t display anything they accessing your system BIOS won?t accomplish anything. -When you start your PC with the memory installed do you see anything displayed on the screen? -Was the PC operating correctly before your reinstall? -Why did you void the CMOS? -Why did you remove the PC memory?

Can not save to bios

windows and the bios needs to know that the operating system can be shut down through windows, so when you go into the F2 or Del on boot up, go into advanced cmos setings and look for ACPI and make sure it is enabled. This sets the motherboard to support shutdown. Save and exit settings and reboot. Now go to control panel>performance and maintanance>power options and set the correct instruction for shutdown to shut the pc down. Remember evertime you remove the cmos battery or reset with jumpers you have to reset date and time and anything else you have changed to suit your set up
