Onkyo SR-602 remote ceased working

The remote for my Onkyo SR-602 does not interface with the receiver. When it was still new it did, but it ceased working for reasons not clear. And, yes, I have put new batteries in it.

Here are your options:

1. An electrical problem, where your receiver has a grounding problem.
2. Your speaker wire connections are actually touching each other and that's why your receiver is not turning on.

I have SR 307 onkyo A/V receiver home theatre system. the remote control has stopped working. i checked with a local dealer and that the remote is okay and something has wrong in the receiver,

Did you check the remote with another Onkyo system at the dealer ??. If its OK try resetting the system. Remember you will loose all your stored presets ( FM and customized settings ) and the Amp will go back to factory settings.
While in standby mode hold down the DVD button and press the Standby/On button., the display will show Clear and the Receiver will go into standby mode. Turn it on and try the remote once again.

How do I hook up my blue tooth headphones to my onkyo SR 605

You cannot rig up a blue tooth headphones to this receiver with out a blue tooth transmitter ( the Onkyo does not have one built in ). If you have a transmitter it can be plugged into the headphone out socket of the Onkyo ( in front ), just remember that it will cut out the sound from all your speakers when you insert the headphone jack . The advantage though with this connection is you can control the headphone volume using the Onkyo remote.

Onkyo remote won't control Samsung components.

I got an Onkyo RC-717M remote control. It is the remote that comes with the Onkyo TX-SR706 receiver. It is a learning remote. When i entered the cde for the Samsung Blu-Ray it did the same thing as the other remotes I got from Onkyo, the pause, next / previous track buttons wouldn't work for the Samsung BD-P3600. I used the learning function of the new remote and programmed it to work. It works ok now but it sure was a hassle to get it done. In fairness i should have called Onkyo support but their support hours don't match my schedule.

I like the look and price of the Marantz SR 6003 receiver, my only question being whether it suppports DSD data output from a SACD player like the ONKYO like the OPPO DV-980h. In other words can it receive...

Downloaded the user manual for the Marantz SR 6003 A/V Receiver. In this it stated that if a SACD player was connected to the SR 6003 with an HDMI interface earlier than 1.2 then the digital data from the SACD could not be transferred over the HDMI cable to the SR 6003. This implies, but does not confirm, that if a SACD player does provide a digital output on an HDMI 1.3 interface, then SACD audio data can be transmitted to the SR 6003 and, presumably, decoded and converted to 6 analogue streams which are then amplified and deleivered to the (6) analogue output terminals.

I'm fairly sure that the native DSD data from the SACD has to be converted to PCM before transmission over the HDMI interface which is better than nothing. What I was hoping for though was for the data to be transferred in DSD and converted in the SR 6003 directly to analogue, avoiding two intermediate conversions. This ideal solution can be done by only a few SACD/ A/V Receiver combinations, which is silly considering that it is also the simplest. One example, which has made a big impression amongst high fi enthusiasts, is the OPPO DV-980H Universal DVD player (plays any audio or video disc and costs almost nothing) and the Integra DTC 9.8 home theatre processor.

Need codes for universal remote

Not sure if this helps, but I just called Onkyo with a request for codes for the SR304. They said the only codes they have are for THEIR remote. Maybe they will work with yours. Here they are:
0276 0476 0810 1187 1376.
I tried these in the Comcast remote (adding a 3 in front of the numbers) but that didn't work. Still trying to get my Comcast remote to program the Onkyo SR304 adequately, since their published codes only partially work.

CORRECT SETUP CODE FOR RECEIVER

Originally Posted by 3FingeredGlove viewpost.gif We can make this work. You didn't mention which setup code you're using, or explicitly say whether the OK/Select button is red or gray (the manual you're using is for gray), so these are somewhat generic instructions. Should work, though. This will provide a power toggle function to the Power key.

Use red numbers for the red OK/Select button remote, grey numbers for grey button remtoes.
Temporarily assign setup code 30842 or 0842 to AUX
1) Tap AUX
2) Press Setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 30842 or 0842The remote should blink twice

Assign NEC1 IR protocol device 210, subdevice 108, function number 203 to Power (you don't need to understand these numbers)
1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 994 (2 blinks)
3) Tap Setup
4) Enter 00051
5) Tap Power (not All On)
The remote should blink twice

Assign setup code 30135 or 0135 to AUX (this is NEC1, 210.109)
1) Tap AUX
2) Press Setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 30135 or 0135
The remote should blink twice
