It looks like you have a Jacuzzi Perfecta.
This model came in two flavors:

  • the 300 MaP flush performance (with an elongated bowl, #BN30959), and
  • the 350 MaP (with a rounded bowl, #BN31959).
Both use the BN30 BN31 tank.

If you have trouble finding a gasket, you might consider using plumbers' putty.

Be aware, though, that there have been reports of the back of these tanks cracking. Check the tank to ensure that the leakage is coming from the gasketed surface, and not from a crack.

Good luck!

I just purchased a floormate. I can't seem to get it to spray cleaning solution.

Turn the cleaner off and then on again to determine whether the cause of no suction resulted from the activation of the automatic shut-off. There are two reasons a tank will automatically shut off. The first is if the recovery tank is full. Located on the lower front panel of the unit, the recovery tank can be easily emptied and replaced into position. To remove from unit, press down on the release button and pull the tank downward and forward. Lift up on the tank latch lid and take out the tank lid. Empty the tank. Also check the tank lid screen for debris and remove any found. To replace the lid, align the tab that corresponds to the front hole of the tank. Snap the latches on the back of the tank. Insert the bottom of the tank back into the cleaner and push in and up until it locks in place.
Turn the unit on again and check the suctioning action. The second reason automatic shut-off could take place is if the handle was raised to an upright position while the motor was running. Should this occur, simply turn the unit off, wait a moment for the shut-off to reset, and turn it on again to continue cleaning.
  • 2 Make sure the filter and filter lid are properly positioned in the recovery tank lid. The cause of the problem could be that the filter or the filter lid were missing or were not in the proper position.
  • 3 Check that both recovery tank and/or solution tanks are locked in place and are positioned properly. The recovery tank is located on the lower front panel of the Floormate, and the solution tank is located in the front top panel of the unit.
  • 4 Observe whether filter is dirty. If the filter is dirty, clean the filter by turning the cleaner off and disconnecting it from the electrical unit. Take out the recovery tank and lid. Remove loose debris from the filter by wiping clean with a brush or tapping the filter over a garbage can. After this is completed, the filter may be rinsed clean for additional cleaning and then air dried before returning the filter to the unit.
  • 5 Check that the nozzle is in the proper position and locked. Locate the nozzle underneath the suctioning base of the unit. Make sure the latches are out and line up the middle section of the nozzle with the opening of the cleaner. Hold the nozzle in place while simultaneously sliding the latches inward to lock in

    Replace accessory hose

    i There,

I'll be happy to walk you through step by step how you can attach the hose to your Hoover SteamVac.

Here are step by step instructions for you:

Step 1. To prevent possible leaking, remove
clean solution tank by pressing down on
tank handle (D) and pulling forward; set
tank aside (do not set tank on furniture2_bing.gif).
    Remove hose from storage rack.

Step 2: Step on handle release pedal (E) and
lower carpet cleaner handle until it rests
    on the floor.
Unlatch back part of recovery tank and
    remove lid.

Step 3: Remove recovery tank front panel (F)
    by sliding it straight up.

Step 4. Replace panel with converter (G).
    Slide converter halfway down opening
until it is firmly in place.

Step 5. Before connecting tube (H) to
cleaner, make sure black tabs are
extended by pulling tan collar toward
    tube.
Open door on hood labeled “Stair/
    upholstery Cleaning Connection”. Press
    round solution tube connector onto
round projection inside door. Press connector
    collar down firmly to ensure
    that it is fully connected.

Step 6. The tank replaces in a hinge-like
manner. Position front of lid under tabs
    (I) on front of tank. Rotate lid down onto
    tank.
Make sure lid is secure on all sides
    before cleaning.
For full suction, it is important that
the recovery tank lid is properly
    secured before cleaning.
    Reverse procedure to remove hose
    and solution tube.
Raise carpet cleaner handle to upright
    position.

No suction to retrieve water from carpet

The tank lid of your recovery tank is designed to engage two tabs to lock the front of the lid down on the seals. Look at the front corners of your recovery tank. You will see a tab extending out on each corner. These two tabs insert into the corresponding grooves in the lid. Once engaged, the lid folds down and the clip on the lid snaps into the back of the tank. When installed correctly, if you pull up on the front of the lid, it should NOT lift away from the tank. The front of the tank has a square "duct" that is removable for when the hose is inserted for furniture, etc. Make sure that this duct is replaced back into the tank when using on the carpet.
