How do I unmute a Motorola flip phone?

when you are in a call there should be a mute button that says mute or unmute or microphone. make sure if it is a word it says mute or if it is microphone that there is not a line through it.

Phone is muted...No one can hear me when I am calling, or answering a call. I can hear them fine. Phone shows "muted"?? How do you "un" mute?

Receiving Calls
1. To answer a call, touch or open the slide.
If the slide is closed, simply slide it up.
If the slide is closed, press the Voice
Commands key twice, then touch .
If the slide is open and the touch buttons are
lit, touch .
NOTE If you touch Left Soft Key [Quiet] while the
phone is ringing, the ringing or vibration is muted
for that call.
NOTE If you touch Right Soft Key [Ignore] while the
phone is ringing, the call will end.

Mute Function
The Mute Function prevents the transmission of
your voice to the caller. To quickly activate Mute
touch Left Soft Key [Mute], then to unmute
touch Left Soft Key [Unmute].

NOTE! while doing this you must call someone then while talking with him touch Left Soft Key [Unmute] to Unmute

Hope it help you out ^_^

Can't get it off of mute

O.K. this was a tough one.  I started here. Without asking for help in the sansa forum I reviewed the entire user manual.  This manual (as you may already know) does not contain the words "mute" or "unmute". So I will refer you to the forum sansa has set up for users.
http://www.retrevo.com/support/Sandisk-Fuze-MP3-Players-manual/id/16010ci075/t/2/

retrevo is a great source for manuals, reviews and support for all electronics.  I would go to the support group sansa has and ask there.  If no unmute is found, this solution will surely unmute your player.  However if you do resort to this your player will be reset to factory settings.  This will not affect memory, but all your system settings will be reset.   That means any customized wallpaper settings, art displayed in lists, backlight, power saver, language, date and time, brightness and volume settings will be restored to their original status!  Memory content will not be affected!  Only formatting the memory drive will delete memory content. So...
This will restore the player to its original factory settings.
1. Press Home button to return to the Main Menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Scroll down to System Settings and select it.
4. Scroll down to Reset Factory Settings and select it.
5. Use thumbwheel to highlight Yes then press the Select button.
