DPI, or "font size" is variable, depending on your monitor's native resolution, The resolution you have selected for it in Windows (Desktop-->Properties[right-click]-->Display Properties-->Settings), and what program you are currently using (browsers can be "zoomed").

There really is no such thing as "normal" DPI font size. Most people with decent eyes would probably use 96 as a standard.

How to set for 300 dpi
The dpi is not really a camera setting. The camera should usually be set to the highest resolution possible (4000x3000). This capture size would give a print size of approx 13"x10" at 300dpi. That would be considered a high resolution print. If you were printing at "normal" print resolution you could double that print size.

How do you change the font size on the computer?

Try the following:

For Windows XP
1. On the Desktop, right click on an empty space and select Properties.

2. A Display Properties window will open, click on the Appearance tab and on the Font size drop-down, choose Large Fonts or Extra Large and click Apply.

For Windows Vista.
1. On the Desktop, right click on an empty space and select Personalize.

3. Choose Large Scale (120 DPI) or Custom DPI (if you want bigger font)

How do I increase and set font size?

First, right click on your desktop and click on Personalize. Alternatively, you can go to Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Personalization.


In the Personalization window, go to the left pane and click on Adjust font size (DPI).


If UAC is turned on you will need to make an additional confirmation so that the DPI Scaling window will launch. You can choose the default scale of 96 DPI or a larger one of 120 DPI, which makes the text more readable. If these two options are not enough you can click on the Custom DPI button and choose another size (DPI).


In the Custom DPI Setting window you can select the desired percentage for the DPI increase. You have the following options: 100% for the normal size of 96 DPI, 125% for 120 DPI, 150% for 144 DPI and 200% for 192 DPI.


If you set the DPI higher than 96, and you are running Windows Aero, the text and other items on the screen might appear blurry in some programs that are not designed for high-DPI display in Windows Vistamag-glass_10x10.gif. You can avoid this issue by using Windows XP style DPI scaling. Just check the appropriate option and press on OK.


The change can be applied only after a system restart. Close all the running applications, save your open documents and then press on Restart Now. After a reboot, the font size will be changed.

How do i change the letter size on my acer pc/e-machine
If you are using windows Vista, you can just simply right click on the desktop and choose personalize... At the left of your view, you can see that the is the word for adjusting the font size ( DPI ).. You can enlarge it to 120 DPI or just customize your desired size... Normally, the default is 96 DPI... Remember... the effect only happens after you restart your computer... The picture below will guide you... Hope this method will also works in other windows such as XP or 7...

Can't click Accept in Software License Agreement dialog box in Ad
This is a simple work around, but it worked for me. Create a new user and make that account the Administrator. Log in with the new account an then run Adobe and click Accept. Some reason this worked for me. Good Luck.

This is for Windows XP
1. Click on Start then Control Panel.
2. If control panel is set at Classic View, then double-click on the Display icon which is shown below:

Click on Appearance and Themes and then click on Display.
3. A box will pop up. Click on the Settings tab.

Change the DPI setting to Normal size (96 DPI). If you have the value set on anything else, text on the HUD-1 will look jumbled on the screen.
Click OK and your computer will ask you to reboot your computer. Click Yes.

Higher res pics on OPtio S4
This resolution doesn't matter to most software. It doesn't change the image at all, just occasionally the size it is displayed (only if the software scales the image according to the resolution, which most don't). This having been said, I doubt there is a way to change it in camera. But you could certainly change the XResolution and YResolution meta information with any good EXIF editor. Also, Photoshop can do this too, but it will mess up other things in the meta information. You should be able to script either to apply this change to a number of photos at once.
