I have Sony VPL-X7, when the power on it will off atomaticaly after the picture show on wall

When the projector attached to computer, the power off after 1-2 minutes ho to solve the problem?

To reset the lamp timer:
1) With the projector plugged in and turned off, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button to put the projector in 'STANDBY' mode. NOTE: You have to press the button on the projector itself, you cannot use the remote for this step (this is not clear in manual).
2) Now, using the remote, press the following keys in order: RESET, <--, -->, ENTER.
3) Timer should now read '0'.

Hi there

You should first check if there is any visible damage on your lamp. If not then it could be a faulty Ballast ( lamp powersupply )

SOURCE: Reset Timer Lamp Sony VPL-HS60 projector

According to the manual, you need access to the RESET button, the left and right arrows and the ENTER button to clear the counter. Press the following in order for less than 5 seconds each:

RESET
Left Arror
Right Arrow
ENTER

The above sequence should clear the counter.

Hi,
You can reset lamp timer of VPL-EX3 by following procedure.
Connect power cord in wall socket, standby indicator will lit red.
Press following keys on projector remote.. RESET, Left arrow, Right arrow, ENTER
Lamp timer will reset.

Connect with power cord and turn the projector to the standby mode.
Press the following keys on the control panel in the following order for less than in five seconds each: RESET, LEFT arrow key and RIGHT arrow key and then ENTER.(showing in the picture below)
(NOTE projector must be in standby mode and keys pressed less than five seconds)

check the power cable first. also check the power at the wall out let. if all ok, the ur projectors smps power supply have some problem. check the same if found faulty replace it. for any assistance feel free to contact through fixya.

HOW DO YOU PUT THE SYSTEM IN STAND BY

Turn Power Off by pressing power button on projector, it is now in standby.
If projector is plugged in but not in power On mode or not showing picture, it calls standby.
