I want to find a poem . one of the lines was. the moon is up, the stars are bright, the wind is fresh and free.

The Moon is Up by Alfred Noyes The moon is up, the stars are bright.
the wind is fresh and free!
We're out to seek the gold tonight
across the silver sea!
The world is growing grey and old:
break out the sails again!
We're out to see a Realm of Gold
beyond the Spanish Main.

We're sick of all the cringing knees,
the courtly smiles and lies

Cant see anything through the view finder

1. During the day, use the 17mm eyepiece on a object outside (telephone pole, water tower, etc) then align the finder to what you see in the scope.
2. Put in the 7.5mm eyepiece and fine align the red dot finder.
3. At night, point the finder at the moon (less than half moon or the image is too bright without a moon filter) Use the 17mm eyepiece.
4. Once you see the moon, switch to the 7.5mm lens and enjoy.
5. Download Stellarium or any free astronomy software and see what is in your sky tonight. Your scope should be able to see Jupiter and its moons easily.(Saturn, Mars and Venus when the time is right) Open clusters like Pleiades will be nice is this fast scope.
5. If stars are not sharp, you may need to collimate the scope. Look online for general instructions.

MI have a 90mm cassegrain gps computer astrophotography telescope. I am able to locate items on the viewfinder/spotter scope but unable to view it thru the telescope, what could i be doing wrong

Your finderscope is NOT lined up with the main tube. Point the scope at a bright star or planet or even the center of the moon. Get it CENTERED in the main eyepiece of the telescope. Then without moving the main tube adjust the crosshairs on the finder scope to point at the same spot.

I HAVE BOUGHT TELESCOPE BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO SEE THE STARS CLEARLY AND EVEN THE MOON WHICH TYPE OF LENSES I SHOULD USE TO SEE THE STARS CLEARLY

Stars are always JUST points of light with or without a telescope. They are too far away to see a disk.

Try to find Jupiter a bright "star" in the WEST after dark.

And also the Orion Nebula- M42.

Hi Joe, I'm Mark.
The small scope on top of your big scope is called the "finder" scope. Probably 2X or 4X. It should have cross hairs in the view. Find the moon with it. It will also require focusing but since the moon is bright, you can get an idea where it is in the lens by that.
Next. Find the LOWEST power eyepiece to insert into the lens holder. And rotate the focus knob.
Hopefully, you will see some bright blurry thing and then you can focus on it.
After you get it in focus, put on a more powerful lens and look at the craters on the moon.
Note: You will need to adjust your telescope to the earth's rotation. Your scope should have
instructions for accomplishing this.

I have quite an old tasco telescope. we can see the target star/planet with the finder, but when we switch to look thru the magnification, we see only black. the lens cover is off. dod you ahve any...

You have NOT lined up the finder scope with the main tube. Point the scope at the moon or a bright star and get the moon or the star into the main tube's eyepiece.

Without moving the scope adjust the screws on the sides of the finder scope and center the crosshairs on the target. Now you can use the finder to line up the main tube.

Red dot finder scope

Simple-- you can also do this during the day on an object at least 100 yards away-- but at night; get the moon centered in the eyepiece and without moving the telescope center the red dot on the moon. This will get you almost aligned-- then put a bright star in the eyepiece and readjust the red dot to center the star.
