Hi

System Recovery Using the Parttion
* Press F9 on booting up (right after you power on and see the ASUS logo), you should now be able to access system recovery. (This is the sys-recovery combi on my ASUS.)
All you need to do is to read carefully before clicking any button upon system recovery process.

NOTE: This is only if you have left intact your system recovery partition. If you have formatted or deleted that partition, you will have to get the recovery cds.

How can i change japanese language to english on my asus ue4e

Do a System factory restore, with your factory restore disks.
This of course will erase everything and restore the system with the option for English. No other way that I have ever been able to find to work. If you don't have the restore - contact your ASUS manufacturer for a copy of this machines restore disk set. About 30-40.00 including shipping. MAKE sure you back up all your DATA - If any is in need of backing up.

How to restore

Are you talking about System Restore or System Recovery (to factory settings).

System Restore allows you to set your computer back to a point an time when it was running ok by allowing you to select a Restore Point (date and time). System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected). Click Start/Program/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.

System Recovery deletes everything and sets your system back to when you first purchased it. You should read the manual to see how to initiate System Recovery. Hopefully they put a recover partition on your hard drive because using cd's fail most times.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ASUSSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and search them for System Recovery or Restore Factory Settings.
Below is a link to ASUS's instructions on running the System Recovery.

Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, then replace that faulty DLL, or better still, do a System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions.
