Try resetting your modem. I had a similar problem with my router and modem. I found out my modem was pretty much out of date. I replaced it with a modem that supported docsis 2.0 and it solved all my problems. Before I replaced it my router and modem would lock up all the time and the only thing I could do is reset it 20 times a day!
    Hope this helps

I need help with belkin n150 model F7D1401 V1 ..i can't connect to my network..i have a Huawei SmartAx Mt 882 modem..and i want to connect my network, wich is an ADSL one, to my computer..I can't...

Your MT 882 modem most likely has a DHCP Server that will interfere with the ip address of the router. Did you plug the Router directly into the laptop then go to dos prompt and type in ipconfig/renew . Or reboot the laptop !
Then type in 192.168.2.1 into browser
You need to work out the IP address of your 882 modem and then change the dhcp server leases on it to start at 20 like it might be 10.0.0.1 to 1.0.0.254 or it could be 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 .
if you are planning on using both devices on the network !
Make the Modem DHCP start at 192.168.2.20 to 192.168.2.254 and then make the Belkin router / modem ip address be 192.168.2.2 and the 882 modem 192.168.2.1 if you plan on using the two devices together on the network disable the belkin dchp server.
if you are using just the belkin then the reboot or ipconfig/ renew will be all you need .

I, i am now connected to the internet with my wireless router (Belkin f7d1401 v1) but only via cable i can not via wireless. i have also digited 192.168.2.1 but now i dont know going further

You must login to the router and setup the wireless. Make sure you turn the WIFI broadcast on (enable it) so you can actually have wifi signal.

When there is limited connectivity check if the laptop gets an IP address from the router. ELse try configuring it manually. Restart the laptop if necessary.

Belkin Wireless Modem Router, model F5D7634-4.

If the reset did not help ,i would suggest you talk to the Belkin Support team and get a replacement. Since its a new router, I assume it has an up to date firmware .

ResolutionTo address this issue, follow the steps below:
Note : The steps below are applicable only for Belkin routers.

  2. You will get a login page. Leave the password blank. Click Submit .
  3. On the left side of the page, click Channel and SSID below Wireless .
  4. The wireless channel on the Belkin router is set to Auto by defualt. Change the wireless to a static channel. Click Apply Changes .

N1 wireless router

Hi Doosey,

Shut down the modem, and the router. Make sure your Ethernet cable goes from your modem to the WAN port on the Belkin. Start up your modem, and wait 2 min. That is important. Then start up the router. Wait 3 more min, then fire up your computer.
Remember to use the CD, or access your router using Internet Exporer to change the password. and set you security setting to protect yoursefl.
Good luck,
