The box i got it in had no assembly instructions and it's Christmas eve. There are three black sort-of loops which look like they may hook aver the wheels somehow, but whoever returned it had the wheels on without the black loops. I have a feeling the black loops connect the wheels to steering mechanism from the one wheel which is powered by the battery , when I look at it upside down. ANyways- facing disappointed granddaughter if can't fix- help!

there is no way to dissasemble to make shipping cheaper, the body is one big piece, and would cost a fortune to ship. check with greyhound, they have a large item shipping program that would place it in the baggage area under the bus and at least arrive near her. the only problem is that someone has to pick it up at the destination greyhound station.
