Canon IXUS 960IS

Nothing on rear display screen for camera but will work for video and viewing pictures ?????
help please going on vaccation in under 2 weeks

Thank you Emperor Hari you are absolutle correct .....however it was the spare battery that had a geen light for fully charged but was actually not charged at all. Purchased 1X new spare battery and vaccation is happy again

Sd card won't upload video- 'unidentified image' is displayed

iPhoto is for still pictures. iMovie is for videos. Use a card reader to download your videos to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can import to iMovie or just play them using Quicktime.

You have a bad CCD. The CCD is like film, it is what the light hits that actually convert an image to a picture. This is a repair as a rule that is more costly than what your camera may be worth.

CANON POWER SHOT SD750 DOESNT TAKE PICTURES BLACK SCREEN

Mine started working again. The only thing I can attribute to it is that I zoomed the lens in and out several times. The next time I turned it on, it worked. Go figure. I'll update if things change.

IXUS 500 Screen Not Displaying Picture

Did you see the posting regarding the image sensor? I am exibiting the problems which sounds like it could be what you are seeing. I went ahead and send an email to canon. we will see what happens. I suggest you do the same.

turn on your camera.
look at the screen on the back.
press the "DISP" button until you see a picture with writing and information,in right hand corner of the screen there is a battery icon along with others , if its full so is the battery

My cannon ixus 70 shows nothing on the screen in picture taking mode but when i take a piture then put it into view mode it can be seen?

Mine too! Screen works fine in video mode as well. Love my camera and dont want to replace it (have been using the traditional viewfinder), but repair too expensive.

All ideas welcome.

Cannot see realtime display in camera or video mode

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
