First, do this, Remove all the cartridges, > Turn Off the machine, disconnect the usb cable, unplug the power cord, (disconnect the ethernet cable [if any], remove memory cards [if any]). Leave the printer Off for few minutes while you do some cleaning with the cartridges and contact points on the printer. You can use a soft brush or cotton dipped in alcohol/acetone/spirit to clean the contact points of the cartridges. Verify that the print heads are clean and dust free. Be careful with the heads while handling, you may damage them.
Clean the usb port on the printer using the soft brush with the same materials mentioned. also clean the usb jack/socket on both the ends of the usb cable. Make sure that the usb port on the computer is ok and working fine.
Now, restart your computer. Reconnect the usb cable and power cord to the printer, and power On as you keep pressing the power button (don't hold down, just keep hitting). Leave it on for few minutes before you install the cartridges. Install the cartridges. Now you are ready to start printing. But you need to check the print settings of your browser. I assume you are using the Internet Explorer. Open the Internet Explorer, click "File" > "Page Setup", you'll see a small windows as show below:
When it's opened, make the changes with the settings same as shown above and click Ok.
Now, on the internet explorer, click "File" > "Print Preview" and check whether you can see the contents to be printed on the preview page or not. I hope you are, close it and go to the page or open the page which you would like to print. Give the print command and when you see the print options (Print settings/Printing preference), change the settings as per your requirements and make sure you select the proper paper size, color (if you are printing only in black, click the color tab on the settings box and select "Print in grayscale" and then select "Black ink only" otherwise your printouts will be bluish or greenish), if there's no problem, you can select the print preview options. Save the settings and start printing. Your printing issue must be gone by now.
