My keyboard in my revo rl100 doesn't work

Sounds like the battery in the keyboard is dead. Also make sure you have the wireless doggle that came with the keyboard and mouse plugged into the usb port. You might try plugging it into another port.

I'm thinking your keyboard is dead because of the battery or a virus has hijacked your keyboard.

Try booting up in Safe Mode to make sure it's not virus related. Turn the computer off, then turn it on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Select the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different because the icons are bigger and the screen is darker, this is normal. If your keyboard works in safe mode then you might have a virus that can't function in safe mode.

My keyboar is dead!!!

Did you spill something on it?

What happened before your keyboard stopped working?

Try a reboot!!!

If the problem if too expensive to fix, and you are considering buying a new one later, then I will suggest to get a wireless keyboard or USB Keyboard meanwhile. They also comes in bundles of mouse and wireless keyboard.

Try also booting you OS in safe mode if its windows.

God Bless You!!

Keyboard and VGA port does not work,i think it's a motherboard

i think your board is dead you must wait 15 seconds to reboot your pc or you will over surge it with power my buddy did it to mine and blew up my graphics card your board might be dead but does it make a clicking sound when you try to start it or any beeps if not your board is dead you could try to clear the cmos just take out the round watch battry on the board for about 5 min and then put it back in and start it up but theree should be a jumper you can use to clear the cmos cmos is your pc's boot options you know when you hold the delete button and shows your boot options it will reset itself try that if nothing works your board is dead

Dead keyboard. Yes! I have replace batteries, uninstalled everything, booted pc.

i just got off the phone with logitech tech support about my 'dead keyboard'. I have a logitech wireless keyboard/mouse ex100. the mouse still worked and the keyboard just quit all of the sudden like. THE FIX! 1. Make sure in your device manager that the keyboard is still connected and working properly. if it is...
2. then remove the batteries and type on the keyboard for 10 seconds or so.
3. Then reinsert the batteries.
4. press the left alt key, left control key, and the f12 key all at the same time.
5. Then press the connect button on the reciever
6. press the connect button on the keyboard
7. press the escape button on the keyoard
8. test the keyboard
it worked for me :) that's how i was able to type this. hope it works for you

Keyboard not recognized

I'm assuming it's a wireless keyboard?

Have you tried "ReSyncing" the keyboard?

1) On the base unit for the keyboard/mouse plugged into the computer press the button on it.
2) Press the button on the bottom of your keyboard.
3) Try to use the keyboard.

You might have to try it a couple of times. That'll fix the problem 99% of the time. The other 1% means your keyboard is dead.

Keyboard not functioning

key board dead , correct. ? even the caps lock key will not toggle its led.
my guess is you bought a clone keyboard from china, on fleabay
and its dead. as many are, some are wired wrong.
the ribbon cable on mine fits to a special connector that likes to break easy, is your broken this locking jack there?
is it plugged in upside down?
why did you buy a keyboard. was the other dead.
when did the keyboard fail. list week last year, or never
i bought it for cheap with dead kbd....
there is no HP drivers, HP retired this old PC, after 10 years.
so what makes you sure your non HP drivers are any good.?
NO OS stated, not even a clue. XP?
what I'd do , us boot to a Knoppix v7 live boot(dvd/usbstic)(linux)
if the keyboard fails NOW, then its bad KBD. or the jack cable or connector there, (or inserted wrong) or damage. there.
buffer chip is blown up with ESD events. (electrostatic discharges)

is the keyboard dead in BIOS
on ours we hit ESC or F10 and BIOS screens pop
power on hammer ESC or F10 or what the screen tells you to hit.
the go in to BIOS screens, now test the keyboard.
using say the arrow keys to navigate the BIOS menus
if the ESC and F10 key are dead that is a bad keyboard.
what must work here is the electronics.
  1. correct keyboard, some clones will never work.
  2. cable not damaged
  3. cable not upside down
  4. connector there not damage the lock not broken,(easy)
  5. the MOBO buffer chip not ESD damaged.
  6. BINGO BIOS now works by key commands
