Free picture editor download may be of use to you. You can edit the image in it in many ways like changing the size, angle, colors, etc.
It's easy to work with it and it gives no errors.

You need a picture editor to re-size the picture before uploading ..here is one I use and is free and pretty good..
http://www.mediafire.com/?mzzjojmljjz
just download ..and run it to install ..and after that click the executable ...choose not to update and select editor..In the editor left part you have to select the folder containing the picture..and select the picture itself ..after that just use the home panel ..and the re-size function ..
when you are done ..just look at the picture size written under it ..and if you are satisfied..just save the picture and select the best quality ..and a location to save it ..or it will replace the original and put it in a folder named originals.
good luck and please rate my answer cause it helps my activity on the site..Thank you for using Fixya !

I can no longer upload my photos. What is going on?

JigZone Photo Upload accepts pictures of JPG and GIF formats only. All puzzle pictures are a fixed dimension, 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high:All puzzle pictures are stored with a maximum file size of 20KB (20,480 bytes). Photos which have a file size greater than 20KB will be automatically compressed, which could result in a loss of picture quality. For fast uploading and maximum picture quality, we recommend that your edit your pictures to be 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high and have a file size no greater than 20KB before uploading them.Note: GIF type images cannot be automatically re-sized and must be formatted to 400 x 300 and less than 20KB before being uploaded. To limit the bandwidth costs of this free service, at this time the file size of a photo upload is limited to 2M or 2,097,152 bytes. Large sized photos could take several minutes to upload. During this time the upload page will remain on the screen.

When capturing photos so that you upload picture to the net easier and fast..

set up your pixel to minimal resolution...

your picture maybe affected slightly for the resolution, but it can helps a lot for uploading it to the net...

sometimes when you encounter low internet connections large sizes of files are corrupted when uploading, and the success of uploading large siZes of photo are small rather than the small ones..

some web sites are very crowded that's why sometimes you will experiencing some internet slow down...there will be a high risk of failure of uploading large size of pictures in that situations...but you can it by putting down your resolution...

thanks for reading hope i give you some tips..

Why won't facebook resize my new cover picture?

Cover photos are 851 pixels wide and 315 pixels tall. If you upload an image that's smaller than these dimensions, it will be stretched to this larger size. The image you upload must be at least 399 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall. But if you have an image of high resolution, you must first edit it using Photoshop or any image processor.

How do i get a picture the right size to fit on my social media page?

Hi,
if you have a photo in jpeg format then it is possible to save it in jpeg format too but changing the parameter "JPEG quality factor" from 100% to 80% for example. The pixels of photo will be the same but the size smaller. I usually use Microsoft Photo Editor application on my Windows PC:
1- open file
2- save as ...
3- choose jpeg format
4- press button "more"
5- change jpeg quality factor %
6- press save

Bye

JPEG storage reduced

Don't confuse bytes with pixels. A pixel is point of color. A byte is a unit of computer storage. A picture with 10 million pixels may or may not require 10 million bytes of storage.

As an exercise, take a picture outside your window, properly exposed and focused. Now put your camera into manual mode, select a fast shutter speed (1/1000 will do), put the lens cap on, and take a picture. Compare the two file sizes. The first file should have a lot of detail in it and will be quite a bit larger. The second file should be all black. The two pictures will have the same number of pixels, but require different amounts of storage.

In the worst case, each pixel will require three bytes to specify its color. JPEG files will be compressed so it's not quite this bad. At the other extreme, it doesn't take many bytes to say "3872x2592 pixels, every one of them absolutely black."

I click on upload and try to type in location of photo but the type does not show. I previously went to Documents, then My Pictures and clicked on the chosen photo. I have no problem sending photos via...

Make sure you are using the uploader provided with facebook, verify that your photo size is allowed and that may help. Many newer high resolution cameras take a very hi resolution picture, and as a result the photo has too large of a file size. Download Jasc painshop pro free, or other photo editing software and try to reduce the file size of your photo. You can also reduce the pixel count from your camera before you shoot. Also remember that, the larger your file size the slower the picture will load. This will make it hard for friends and family to view your picture due to long download times.

Cant upload pictures to sell on e bay

Hi there.
This is a common problem with pictures not uploading to ebay, this is because the file size could be too large.
Copy the pics to the PC and open them using Microsoft Office picture manager, click on edit picture, and then resize, choose predefined width x height and select web -small then save the edited pic and try to upload to Ebay again.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
