Hello,

I will assume you are trying to connect to another desktop from the server... You may need to setup share properties on the desktop to access it from the network. If you are using VM software on the server and having this issue, you need to reconfigure the VM setting for your user access level.

Good Luck

After a factory reset for a playstation 3 and reconnected to the Wi-Fi correctly and every thing connects except the playstion network what do I need to do to get the playstation network to connect

Once you are connected to the wifi, make sure that it has internet access. Also, sometimes disabling the media server can help. to do that go to:settings - network settings - media server connection than disable the media server.

I have a poweredge t300 server and am having an issues connecting to certain website which I can log on to using a different computer not connected to the server which leads me to believe it has to do

Your corporate Firewall is denying access. I don't know what this site is or does, but you can put in a request to allow access with your IT guy or use it at home.

Hi, I have brought my dell laptop at work with vista operating system. It connects to internet networks wirelessly. I am trying to connect the work printer to my laptop but am not sure how to start. The...

hi,
you do not need a CD to connect to the printer, what you should do is gain access to the print server. this can be done by asking your network administrator. in a situation where you don't have one or the network is an open one, you have to connect to the printer network, open your ipv4 properties and select obtain an ip address automatically, do the same with the DNS server and you're good to go.
just so i'm thorough, after connecting to the print server / network, you can access your network ipv4 properties by right-clicking on the network icon located at the lower right corner of your taskbar, (the bar at the bottom of your screen) usually in form of two computer monitors. select network and sharing center after right-clicking. a list of wireless network should be available if there are more than one wireless networks in the area. select view status of the print server / network, click on properties, a pop-up box appears. be sure 'file and printer sharing for microsoft network' is checked, double-click "internet protocol v4 (ip/tcpv4)' select obtain an ip address automatically, select the same for the dns server below. click OK you're good to go.
note
once you are successfully connected to the print server, click on Devices and Printers from the start menu, select the printer and allow the drivers to be installed from the server. once that is done, you can right-click on the printer and select set as default. after this all you have to do is connect and print whenever you want to.
hope this helps
let me know if there's anything you don't understand or if this doesn't resolve it.

If your Dell server cam with the Windows Server 2003 software, you should be able to order a replacement cd. Go to http://www.dell.com/support If the software was not packaged with the server, you will have to buy it at http://www.microsoft.com/sales

Cannot connect server ...... client PC diplay this message

Can you PING the L230 device from the server? In other words, are you confident there is a clear IP path from server to device? Also, if you're running on XP, turn off the XP firewall as a test. If that works and you still want to run with the firewall on, then you'll need to specify specific ports to be opened up on your firewall or your domain's firewall policy. Those ports, as listed from NComputing's website are:
Port Exceptions
  • For L-series device connection
    • TCP: 27605, 27615, 3581, 3597, 3645, 3646
    • UDP: 1027, 1283, 3581
  • For vSpace registration
    • TCP Port 3630
    • Point to:
      • register.ncomputing.com
      • or 85.214.107.229
  • For vSpace Update
    • TCP Ports 20 & 21
    • Point to:
      • 70.182.176.102
      • or 81.169.173.128

Nic teaming on poweredge t300

NIC teaming is useless unless you have a switch that support teaming.
However, Dell servers have free lifetime phone support ((800) 945-3355).
They should be able to help.

Dell says I could not load WinXP Pro on Dell T300. Why not?

You won't encounter any problems, but you may need a usb to ethernet adapter to get on the internet to get drivers. Also, many places no longer sell non-OEM copies of windows XP, and, will Dell sell a computer with no OS?
