Radio shack iscan trunking scanner, pro-107

Hi Anthony,

I'm not familiar with your 107 (iscan) radio scanner, but every scanner I have ever owned has a reset button, which is usually recessed.

Look for a tiny hole eith n the lower front panel or rear panel, it should be marked(not always) reset, you will need a thin ball point pen or similar to press this button in for aprox 3 seconds, while the radio is turned on.

By doing this, you would have restored it to factory default settings.

If you haven't yet programmed it for your area, you won't get much - if any - reception. Most Radio Shack stores will program the scanner for you, or at least give you some valuable assistance in programming it. They can also sell you programming software to simplify the task. IMHO the Butel software available from ScannerMaster.com is the best on the market, and it will let you download virtually every frequency and system in your area directly to the scanner. I also suggest that you visit www.RadioReference.com for a comprehensive database of active freqs and systems in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information.

There is no such thing as "dual trunking" or "triple trunking." Such terms are used by manufacturers to indicate the number of trunking systems that a scanner is capable of monitoring. The PRO-95 is designated as a Dual Trunk-Tracking scanner because it is capable of monitoring both Motorola and EDACS systems. Programming a trunking system in to a scanner is a detailed process that requires a bit of research.

The 163 is a trunking scanner, so programming instructions are long and detailed, and they vary for each type of trunking system. Programming instructions are best explained in the factory operating manual. If you don't already have it, you can download/print the manual here:

My Uniden Bearcat BC 147 XLT will not broadcast. I have unplugged and reset it and installed new codes but, still nothing. What can I do?
