I want to istall hp deskjet 3550 to my laptop
Hello,

Your HP Deskjet should have come with a setup CD.

To install it on your laptop put the CD in your laptops CD drive. The setup program may come up automatically.

Or you may have to use Windows Explorer to browse to it at 'D:\Setup.exe'. If so double click on Setup.exe to start the setup program.

When the setup program's dialog comes up select 'Install' and then follow the instructions provided.

If you have a USB memory stick (Flash Drive) you can copy the contents of the CD to that and then run the setup program from there. If you don't have a PC with a CD drive you could ask a friend/colleague to copy the cd onto the stick for you.

Insert the cd into the cd drive, the setup should come up automatically, if it doesnt come up then open my computer, double click on the cd drive, if the setup still doesn't come up, right click on the drive and click on open, if it didn't open automatically. Then look for the setup file and double click on it to start the setup.

if it still doesn't install try the cd on another computer to confirm if the cd is working. if it works on another computer then the issue is with your cd/dvd drive, if it doesn't work on other computers aswell then the cd is the problem.

Setup cd
You can setup the router even without a CD setup, if you know how to access the router setup page where you can do the configuration that will do the setup, But if you're not familiar with it better contact Linksys tech support so they can walk you through with the process on how to set it up without the CD this is the number 800-3267114.

No sound
check on the cd and see if there is more than one setup file for your sound. If it is the motherboard setup cd then quite often there is more than one kind of sound shipped with the boards and all the drivers for various units are on the same cd.
