Hi.

F-03 means that there is an heating system problem.

The heating system consists in the heater element and in a thermistor, located near to the element. The parts are located behind the panel at the back of the washer. Both element and thermostat can be tested using a mulitimeter to check if they have continuity (Ohms reading across part's terminals returns infinity).

Here a movie showing how to reach the heating element:

What does the fault code f-03 mean on a hotpoint ultima ? can it be easily fixed?

f-03 is a common problem with this machine.
The circuit board is situated very close to the bottom of the machine and also very close to the motor.
When the machine vibrates it can cause the circuit board to come away from the side mountings and gets struck by the motor. Mine did this and ended up cutting through the wires to the PCB. not good. cost me £125 for new PCB and had to re-wire. but this gave me the fault code F-03

Got a hotpoint wf860 its 4 years old it will not come on when i switch electricity on it flashes on then goes off please can you help new fuse in plug did not work wendy

This would tend to indicate a severe fault and may mean a new on board controller is required. Best to call a service repair man ASAP.

HOTPOINT ULTIMA SUPER SILENT ( WF 860 ) 1600 SPIN SPEED.

I read that someone has a problem with F-03 on the display. I have seen this for the first time on my hotpoint wf860 1600 spin. I read the manual the only thing I can think of maybe an unbalanced load in the machine. Albeit the manual is not clear about this. P21 automatic features unbalanced load warning.
