the lamp went out in our wd-62525. I replaced it and cleaned the filter, now it makes a strange noise every few minutes and the picture gets distorted, then it's fine.We have had this set for only 16 months and have had to replace the mother board. What do you think the problem may be?

ok.
#1. replaced capacitors on power board. DM board FMT board .
# 2 on power board you need to chek caps. 3300mf x 35 v.QTY 2.
# 3 12 capacitor 1000mf x 16 v.
If caps 1000mf x 16 v . looked good. replaced anyway......

usinng the av cable (1 yellow, 1 red, 1 white), on the back of the set
plug them into input one. input one is actually the third set of jacks down on the terminal board. the first is audio out. the second is monitor out (it has video) and the third is input one.if input one does not show on your device menu the you will have to add it with the netcommand menu.

SOURCE: cannot turn tv on
Check power supplly make sure its not the fault in wht this will not turn on.
Unplug tv from wall wait 30 secounds and plug back in.
If that does not work you will need to have someone look at the powersupply.
