Xbox 360 slim wont turn on but it beeps and lights up

there is a short somewere In the system and it is in protect mode and will not turn on so that the console does not get harmed anymore than it already is. the best solution for this is to send it in to Microsoft and get this problem fixed

X box 360 turns on i hear it in the tv but cant see on the tv and i bought new cords but still doesnt work and tried a different tv

ok, this is a scaler chip issue. this is the chip that is connected to the AV cables. this is a repair that Microsoft will need to initiate at this point.

if this unit is still under warranty, it will be a free repair.

Contact Microsoft.

My elite has works but the video doesnt, even with light on cable

turns out after a bit of fiddling around that there is a switch on the 360 elite's VGA cable that you can switch on and off, i never knew they had these switches because it is my first tme with an elite, machine works fine though so far no freezes or glitches and im playing fallout 3. anyway for allthose that cant get video because of the cord or something make sure you check your VGA TV/HDTV switch, as i missed it too.
