It may be possible to recover them using Photo Recovery software.

Use the Copy command in the Playback menu. See page 115 of this manual.

Display it in full-frame playback mode, then press the [OK] button in the center of the multiselector.

Hi, sure your camera is in warranty try contact Nikon service for replace the part damaged or defective.

I wish I could solve as I have the same problem. The LCD shows the menus settings but does no display the picture image - same whether in camera mode or playback mode. Please help.

You have the camera in Highlights mode.. while in playback use the up,down,right,left pad press it up and it will go through different displays like what settings you had the camera in when you took the picture then there is a graph screen... after that one is the highlights display which is what you have it on. Push up one more time to have it on regular playback mode. The manual explains this much better than I just did. If you have the manual you should check it out if my instructions dont help.

My screen shows "Lens Error" when i on the camera. Anybody has the same problem? how to solve?

Power on your camera. Press the playback button (bottom left with right arrow in a box) to display a picture. Press the Menu button (top left) to get to the playback menu. Scroll down to the Delete selection and press OK. This will show another screen with a choice for Erase all images. Choose this and press OK. - done! -Vish
