Some Sony Cybershot camera's have a small amount of memory built into the camera. Double check that the camera is set to put the pictures onto the memory stick.
If the camera is set up correctly, the memory stick may not be formatted correctly for your computer. If at all possible, connect the camera to your computer directly with the USB cable that should have come with it.
Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
you can try and format the card again, if that fails, the card is defective..

If you put the memory stick back into the camera can you see them thru the camera menu? If so your computer's SD card port may be having issues. try using the card in another computer or use the cameras USB cable to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer if it has one. Do other memory sticks work in the computer ok? If you cannot see them in the camera either then the pictures will be corrupted and probably cannot be recovered. Then the card will need to be formatted to erase any errors on the card. Always use the camera to format a card whenever possible...Hope that helps.
It sounds like the software on the card has suddenly dissappeared. Try downloading the software from sony back onto the card. Let me know if this helps.
The Mavica MVC-FD100 has spec for the std. memory stick and does not allow use of the newer Pro-Duo memory stick. Buy an old used std. memory stick on ebay to fix your problem.
did you already formated your memort stick? try to remove your memory card from your camcorder and insert it again. look for the settings on your camcorder. it might cause the problem. hope that helps!
I was having the same problem with my 4GB memory stick pro duo, when i took more than 50 pictures with my camera (dsc-w90) i would get the blue screen with the file error message. I'm guessing you bought the memory stick on ebay right? I bought mines there and it turns out it's a fake one. If you also bought it there then you most likely have a fake memory stick because I found out that most of the memory sticks sold on ebay are fake, to help you figure out if you have a fake one or not check out this guide or google fake memory stick pro duo.
