My eureka has no suction at all

It has to be a blockage and on that one, either behind the brush or in the hose.

I think it is normal. My favorite setting is the dial is turned to bare floor. If you set your vacuum to hose, then you need to adjust the height (do not set the dial to the bare floor).

Remove the bag cover and feel for suction above the motor. If their is suction there then check the bag compartment is sealed. You can drop a coin down the hose to check for blockages all the way to where the bag attaches.

I had the same problem with exact same vacuum, was working great and the one day just lost almost all suction in the hose and in very very poor suction on base when vacuuming carpet, also when vacuuming the carpet everything I vacuum shoots out the bottom and hits my feet, never happened b4, checked all hoses and tor apart every thing to see if their war dust in motor, clogging anywere but nothing everthing looked great, NEED HELP CANT AFFORD TO BUY ANOTHER VACUUM OR TO TAKE TO REPAIR MAN TO B CHRGED AN ARM AND LEG, SOMEONE PLEASE HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

If you've checked both the bag and the filter, the next step would to check for any clogs.

I will detail what you will need to do below, or you can always reference your Owner's Guide (check: How to Check and Clear Hose Blockages)

Step 1: Remove hose from hose retainer on the base and check suction at end of hose - if little or no suction, check dust cup. Empty if needed. If no improvement, proceed to step 2.
(Make sure you turn off the switch and unplug the unit before proceeding to step 2)

Step 2: Remove electrical cord from cord hooks. Disconnect the clear tube by unscrewing the 2 screws, then lift away from cleaner. Check for any obstructions that may be in the tube or hose. Any obstructions can be removed by using a blunt instrument to clear the tube or hose (I will sometimes you a bent hanger or a retractable pointer). Flexing the hose may help loosen the blockage. After clearing blockage, reverse above steps to reassemble unit.

check for blockage from where the hose sets in its
holder to the roller brush. Also see if the brush is
turning, the belt maybe broken.

Hi there SmartAlec from NelsonVacuums.com.au . Unless there is a bad sound coming from your vacuum i would suggest you have a blockage. This machine is prone to getting blockages in 3 different places.

1. at the base behind the brush.
2. Inside the main suction hose - this should be removeable so you can drop a small coin through. If it doesnt fall easily viola blockage found.
   
3. Where the dirt enteras the chamber or bag.
   

Basically start by removing all hoses and filters and turn machine on put your hand over all inlet and exit points provided you can feel airflow at one of these points work backwards from there and identify the point at which you no longer feel airflow.

vax power pet 1 filter keeps getting clogged up so dirt not going into cylinder

The bag is full.You need to take out old bag and replace with a new bag.
