White balls in hot point dishwasher HDA1100N15wh

Mineral deposits are causing this due to hard water most likely. If you don't have a water softener I would suggest you install one, if you do then have it checked for proper operation.

I have a samsung dmt300 dishwasher that is displaying a low-level water error and was wondering if there is anything i can do myself before calling a technician

I would remove and examine the wash arms to see if any of the holes are plugged with food or mineral deposits. Clear any food with a paper clip. If you have mineral deposits, remove the deposits with Lime Away or CLR cleaner. Hope this helps you.

Leaving a white film on everything

Hi, what you are currently experiencing is as a result of dishwasher detergent, combined with mineral deposits from hard water, which in yurn can leave a white film on the inside of the dishwasher.
You have to clean the dishwasher by sprinkling baking soda onto a damp cloth. Scrub the inside of the dishwasher to remove soap scum, grime and mineral deposits.
Pour 2 cups white vinegar into the bottom of your dishwasher. Turn the dishwasher on and run it on a full cycle. Stop the dishwasher halfway through the wash cycle and allow the vinegar and steam to work on the remaining mineral deposits for 20 minutes before resuming the cycle.
Open the dishwasher and dry the interior with clean, dry cloths. Keep the door propped open for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the dishwasher to dry completely.

Hope it helps....

Mineral deposits on heating element of dishwasher

There is a chemical you can buy that is a dishwasher cleaner that should do it. Wal-Mart or an appliance store should have it. If it is bad, you may have to do it several times. Ultimately you may need a new element if it is real bad.

No-spin

the spinning of the arms is created by the force of the water shooting out of the holes. your top arm may have debris build up in it that prevents proper water flow. u can also remove the arm and see it there is build up on the contact point were it rotates. clean it if its dirty. "dishwasher magic" is good for cleaning mineral build up in your system. also, make sure your not putting dishes on the top rack that are too tall and prevent the blade from rotating

Miele dishwasher film and crust on the inside-

Hard water has this "crust" which are minerals floating around that ionically attach to everything. Some machines from Miele have a water softener inside the machine. Special dishwasher softener Salt is added that cleans minerals off Xeolite beads. When cleaned they attract mineral ions. If you don't use the salt then the beads fill up on minerals until they can't hold any more minerals. The salt is used in the regeneration cycle. It washes the mineral ions off the xeloite replacing them with salt ions. As new water enters the machine mineral ions slowly knock off the salt ions and attach themselves to the beads again. This whole process keeps the crust off the dishes and the walls of the machine.
Use a dishwasher cleaner that removes scale. And if you don't have a salt light on your Miele you can instead purchase soap tablets that contain water softener built in. Miele dishwasher tablets have it. You can order them online or call Miele.
