The effects or FX section is on the top right of the mixer. On your vocal channels find the yellow knob marked FX and turn it to 0. Choose the effect you need using the Program knob (top right) for karaoke this will probably be 03 or 06. Start singing and turn up the yellow knob marked 3 - FX under AUX Sends until the LEDs above them hit -0db, no higher.
Now find the button marked FX - Main Mix and make sure it is UP.
Turn up the yellow knob (3 - FX) next to it until you can hear enough echo on your mic.

I have a Behringer B1 Microphone and a Behringer 1202 Mixer. I want to know how to connect both of these to my Yamaha Home Theater receiver so that I can sing karaokes from the computer, Please help

You'll need to connect both your PC and the Mic to the mixer, you'll need phantom power switched on at the mixer for the mic to work, you then take the two track out to the Aux input on the receiver.

What preset effect number is best for karaoke?

Always use echo and reverb, or just reverb for inexperienced singers. If I remember right this is from effect 19 but this is a very inflexible set-up with no control over the effects, just presets. You'll need to listen and decide what is best. You may also try chorus as with a decent effects unit this can be very effective plus a bit of reverb and echo.

Different songs like different effects and we will chop and change even in a single track when live mixing professional acts.

I just received my RSQ-echo 2000 karaoke machine. When I plug a mic into the front 2 mic inputs, they both have echo, even tho I turned off the echo volume in the back. I assumed that by turning it all...

The control supposedly controls the mix of the echo... this is a reverb type sound. Please note that room acoustics AND if the mic's "hear" the speaker in this, it may create an echo that is NOT under control of the adjustment. Make sure the mic's cannot "hear" the speaker or a reflection off a wall.

How do you make an echo on this mixer

You will need to buy an effects unit for this, either delay or reverb depending on the echo you want, there are no built-in effects on this mixer, sorry!

My husband purchased one of your xr8600 peavey mixer the problem hes having is he cant get the echo settings right.please can you help.

View videos on YouTube regarding "mixer setup". Find the parts of setting up of "effects". Don't worry that you have a different mixer, the principles are all the same for analog mixers. Steps are this: Set the EFX send level for EACH of the input channels (knob above each channel gain) for the proportion you want for each channel. Check that the level you are sending does NOT cause the effect clip light to light very much. Set the effect you want, delay, echo, etc. with the selector knob. Advance the output sent to the power amp with the two knobs in the upper right of the panel. Adjust the "time" knob for the delay or effect depth you want. Then go over the same settings in the same order until you get the sound you want.

I picked up a vocopro karaoke machine at a yard sale and the echo makes a loud hum also i need a owners manual and remote where can i get help with this. model#890G thank you

Hello. For the manual and remote your best option is to search online. As far as the echo goes, this is just a cheap microphone with a cheap system. It will not go away unless you turn the volume down on the system. If you want to put good money down on a nice SHURE brand microphone it will definitly help with the echo, however it will not make the system any better.

Long delay between singing into mic and hearing voice in speakers

Usually delay is associated with "reverb" not echo. If you are in a large room, the room acoustics can add reverb without the benefit of signal processing.

Reverb NORMALLY passes the inout signal as is and then adds in a delayed version on top.

The delay should be less than the room size delay.

Try turning off all effects as a start. There is some "transport" time if it goes through a digital signal processing.
