Make sure that you are using the Audio Out ports (not one of the audio in). Next go into the menu. Select the Audio setup option and see if there is a line for enabling the external speakers. (Often this corresponds to turning off the internal speakers but not always.)

I hope this helps. I'm not familiar with the specs of Techwood TV models. Some TVs only have an headphone/earphone (3.5 mm) jack as their audio out. In that case, you'll need an adapter to convert the RCA audio to the headphone jack.

How to connect your DVD player to your stereo

On the back of your DVD player there are two connectors, labeled red and white, and they are for the audio portion of your DVD. You can play the audio portion of any DVD trough your stereo or 5.1 by simply hooking these up to the aux on your audio/video receiver, stereo receiver or integrated amplifier. Then you can blend the television volume with that signal or listen to it by itself by adjusting the television volume to suit your taste, simple as that.

Why? no sound from the speskers at all.

There are a few things that could cause no sound and although some are obvious I'll got through them all..

1) Sound is on Minimum

2) Sound is Muted

3) No Power to Subwoofer

4) Speakers connected Incorrectly or Faulty

5) No AUDIO IN connections to TV-IN or AUX-IN

6) Incorrect Input Source is Selected (See Below)

Can I connect a Sony DVD Player DVP-SR90 to the Panasonic Home Theatre SC-HT75 to achieve surround sound without direct SCART connection - and how?

You can connect your Sony DVD player to your Panasonic HT using an analog RCA audio cable (white and red) for stereo sound. Connect to the AUX inputs on the HT and select AUX. Since the Sony DVD player only has SCART, you would need an adapter, scart to RCA. Like this one:

Check for compatibility. Use the red and black RCA plugs for the audio into the HT.

Your Panasonic HT does not have a digital audio input which would be required for multi-channel surround sound (Dolby Digital 5.1)

Coby DVD765 Theater System and can't control the TV volume through it...I saw the previous post...We have it in our bedroom and rarely watch DVDs in there. Could I plug my RCA audio cables into some of...

The connections will have to go directly into your tv set. On your tv, you should have 3 connnecting points. Red, White and Yellow. On your Theatre system amplifier you should have audio outputs like CD, AUX, etc. Pick one of these outputs and connect to your Red and White RCA on the tv set. Next, connect the DVD player's audio to dvd on your amplifier under the DVD connection. Your VIDEO (yellow) Cable should still go to your tv directly from the DVD player. Now, if you want to listen to the TV channels throug the system, simply select the channel that you pluged the TV audio into. Hope this helps.

Can I connect a Computer to a Techwood DDR 94 AV Digital Surround Receiver so that I can listen to radio stations online?

Yes. You can. First, you need a cable that has a stereo pin called stereo jack (the type that has on ear phones/head phones) on one end and component cable terminals (the type that comes with video/ audio left and right) on the other end. To further explain, these terminals come in yellow red and white colors. You only need the red and white ones. This is available at electronic stores. Otherwise a person who service electronic equipments can easily make one. Basically, this cable will have a stereo jack (small one) on one end and split into 2 cables with the red and white terminals. Once you have this cable, connect the stereo jack to the ear phone socket of your computer and connect the other end to the audio input of your Techwood receiver. You can select anyone (CD, DVD or TV). These inputs are right above the speaker wire connections. Be careful to connect to the socket that say "in" . Now, let us assume you have connected to the CD, select your source as CD on your techwood receiver. Play music on your computer and you should be able to hear the output through your Techwood receiver. Good luck

Problem getting home theatre sytem to play audio when watching tv

you need the red and white audio cable hooked into the AUDIO OUT connectors on the tv and the other end of the red and white cables into the AUDIO IN in tv to the media center (main Bose unit).....If your tv does not provide AUDIO OUT connectors, you cannot connect the tv audio to the 3-2-1 system. Connect the RTS-HE10 via HDMI to the TV and the Sky+ via scart to the TV. Then get a stereo RCA to 3.5mm jack lead and connect from your TV's stereo RCA output (red/white) to the Aux 3.5mm jack (like a headphone socket) on the RTS-HE10. Select Aux on the RTS-HE10 when you want to listen to whatever is on the TV.

CONNECTING DVD/VCR TO CABLE BOX & TV ETC

If using 3 color RCA (r/w/y) the red and white is audio and should go into your stereo under video or AUX. The yellow is the only video cable you need, that should go to your TV aux in or video1 or video2. You can also put all 3 colors into the tv and then run another red/white OUT to the stereo AUX in and have stereo sound for whatever you are watching.
