Does the tv have sound without the xbox? If so, then we isolated the problem to the xbox. I would try new cords. Microsoft Xbox support may cover these free of charge if its under warranty. I recommend calling them to see if they can send you new cords for your xbox. If the cords do not work then you may need to get it replaced. Xbox support link below

By the sounds of it your scaler chip has gone bad. have you gotten any errors? E74 would be the one this issue would be. Contact MS to see if your unit is still uner warranty and go from there.
