Hello Team,
I have a question. I bought this Makita at e-bay seller. He states that this Makita is a hummer drill. But the shift positions I have are only for drill and screwer. Who is right?

If the part you need is part of the actual gear assembly you will need to buy a complete gear assembly, check this parts diagrams http://www.ereplacementparts.com/makita-bdf451-drill-driver-parts-c-97_106_107_3676.html
unless you find a repair shop that has a used gearbox that has a shifting collar they would sell, you will need to replace the whole component. they do not sell individual parts for this.
Try two channel lock pliers. Hold the bit close the the base with one. Take the other (cloth comes in handy here to prevent marring) and turn the chuck counter clockwise to release.
Alternative (little WD40 on the chuck) One channel lock plier hold the chuck and put the drill in reverse. The WD40 should allow the chuck to release easier.
the rear bearing is 6002 if my mind serve me right... there should be a code somewhere on the seal or on the bearing shell itself... last resort, bring the bearing to the shop, the seller should know...
Look after the serial number and you will find a couple more numbers that is the date of manufacture. Usually the first 2 numbers are the year and that is what you need.
