Do you mean on a ONE XL, XLS, or XL 330S? Do you mean simple deletion of history, or actual files on the device?

For deleting history, you can go into the preferences menu and Reset the Device back to Factory Settings. Say that you're sure 2x and its all cleared.

For more advanced deletion of files...

If you have the USB cord, connect it to your computer. Download and install the TomTom HOME software and register your device. From there, you can access the contents of your device and download new data or delete old files.

What are you trying to delete?

    trying to get rid of old adressssss and such...... can't get i to take nw ones

My tom tom one xl seems to have gone back to set up mode so i go through the options but when i get to the option for choosing a voice it freezes and then returns to the begining of set up again i have...
One of the voices you added from the computer is corrupt. Plug the tomtom back in to the computer and remove the customer voices one by one till you find the one that is corrupt. If you can't do this using the tomtom app, reply and I will find out where the files are and tell you which ones to delete from the momory.

Tom Tom One XL has frozen and will not switch off (or do anything). When in Tom Tom Home it keeps telling me to switch it on. Any solutions?
Try holding down the power button on the unit for a good 10 seconds or so, this should force it to power down. If it does not please reply and I will see if I can find further information.

now if this happens while connected to the computer dont wrry its not going to change the screen stays lookin like that while connected but if it happens when ur not on the computer still pretty easy to fix just delete and reinstall application use ur head on home and u can do it fast n easy
