All the cameras must be plugged in for this exercise. If we have a USB mouse, then let's make sure that is plugged in, otherwise, we may have to use the front panel buttons to control the operation.

if your dvr is controller based then short the crystal near to controller that wll reset dvr

Most modern electronics with reset buttons and defaults will have it on the sticker on the bottom much like cisco or Linksys routers. Many times its just Admin or admin for both the user and pass. I take it you lost or threw out the manual so you cant check it.

To check the IP address, press MENU key on the unit and enter password to access OSD setup menu. Select <System Setup>, <Network Setup>, then <LAN Setup> to check the IP.

Just use the default IP address 198.168.1.1 for setup.
