I tried the on off button the left side, I also turned off the breaker and turned it back on thinking it might reset but that didn't work either.

I reset the breaker and still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
You need to unplug the dishwasher from it's power source and let it sit for a couple of hours. If the problem continues after plugging the unit back in, then you need to consider the cause of the problem. It sounds like it is electrical. Most likely a current filament in the electronics is not working right or there is a short or open in the wiring. I also suggest that you check the polarity of the outlet you are plugging the unit into.

There is now a universal dishwasher bracket for just this problem called E-Z DISHWASHER BRACKET. It is available through Braxton-Bragg or ask for it at a local granite fabricator. It is very simple to use.

Yes there is the Water Div valve, it diverts the water between the wash arms.

It would be helpful if you can remember what cycle the dishwasher was in when this condition occured.
Was there water left in the base and had the dishes been cleaned when you opened the door?
The motor running could be the pump trying to drain the water out. Check if the drain pump or the kitchen drain is blocked (eg. if you have insinkerator then ensure it is not blocking the drain). Also if the dishwasher is plumbed with the air gap - check it is clear.
The other thing to check is if the float device at the base has been triggered. This could cause the drain pump to run until the float restores to normal position.
I am assuming you have turned the power off and on at some stage to see if that made any difference.
Please post a comment so that I can help you find the fault.
