first go for the easy stuff. do the tail lights come on? if so, then will almost guarantee it's bad bulbs in headlights. if tail lights do not come on I would check fuses first relay second. switch third.
Theres a sensor in the middle of the dash by the front windshield that detects sunlight and triggers the automatic headlights. The main headlights and daytime running lights might be on a different circuit, in which case they daytime running lamps would turn off at night and the main headlights would turn on, indicating the main headlights arent working and the daytime running lamps are working as intended.
I would check all the fuses related to headlights, check the bulbs and check the switch, then last the light sensor on the dash.
well have delt with relkays all my life and ill bet you the contacts in the relay have most likey been over worked and they r like welded togother please try and replace the relay and you should be ok
You have to roll up all the windows lock all the doors and use your key to unlock on of the front doors or the trunk when the alarm is going off. I don't remember which it was. Remember all doors must be closed and locked with the windows up for this to work.
Well...lets start with the obvious. Check fuses and NEVER piggyback any stereo or security stuff into their fuses...you dont want the lights to shut down during a night drive!! Check under the hood for a relay center...also has some fuses there as well.
The Daytime Running Lamps are a "straight through wiring configuration". Doubt it even goes through a headlight switch at all. But the regular lights do. Unless you've worked on the front of the car and forgot to plug the headlights back in, do this... Turn the light switch on...looking at the instrument cluster , can you make the high-beam-indicator light come on? As you rotate the headlight switch knob...does the instrument panel lights brighten or dim? You probably have a faulty headlight switch...auto stores have them...they simply plug in.
