My turntable doesn't rotate any more...

Excuse me, i've got a problem with my new turntable-atlp120. i bought it from amazon.com and use it in china yesterday. unfortunately, i pluged it into the 220v wire without changing the voltage switch to 220v. the fuse had beed blew... i have change a new blew now. but it seems not working, either. as i turning it on, all lights would be turn on. all switches works fine except the start/stop button. i have put the cartrige onto an lp, rotate the platter, the sound works. so, my problem is, what wrong with my motor? could you show me some ways to determine what happened to my dear turntable. thanks sincerely bok

Hi, the transformer that supplies power to the motor has been fried by the 220v input and will need to be replaced. If you remove it and go to your local electronic parts supplier they should be able to sell you a replacement. Cheers John styluscity.com

Platter vibrates; doesn't rotate smoothly

Hi,
Do one thing Remove the palter and put one drop of lubricating oil in the center shaft. Also put one drop in the motor shaft. Be carefull do not drope the oil in motor pulley. If so clean the pulley with a cloth. Because it will cause slipping the belton the pulley. Then put the plater back. Rotate the plater with arms for some time. Then check.

After powering on monitor says no sync

I've almost the same problem. When the system turns on the monitor doesn't sync. After a variable trials with down/up the sync is enabled and the computer starts.A very clear event occurs : when the monitor can''t sync ( and system doesn't boot)you can hear very clear a high fan rotation. When I look/hear in the system the Isuspect the cpu fan. The system boots ( monitor syncs) when the fan rotationgoes from high to low. So the system hangs on an internal check on the rotation speed of the cpu fan.I've googled a lot , but until now doesn't find an answer . Possibilties which I think about : replace cpu fan , clean cpu fun ( but it looks clean).I cannot measure the fan rotation speed when the system is hanging. At normal rotation all info can retrieved witth the program cpu-z.Did you already have a solution ?

I have purchased a Crosley cr40 mini turntable which has a american ac adpater. I bought a universal adaptor and my record player started spinning but a small plume of smoke started coming from the plug...

It could be the adapter is just faulty, but you can't tell to you get power to the unit if any part has failed inside (most liklely the transformer if it has).
I found this step-down adapter on amazon which should do the trick, not expensive either.

hi,
Do one thing adjust counterweight on the back of the arm to 1.5gm or 2gm by rotating the counterweight. It will give some more pressuer on the styles and will avoid the jerking

Purchased stanton T.52 Turntable. hooked it up to stereo but volume is very very low. cannot find line / phono switch if there is one on this model.

The only output from the turntable is the low-level signal from the cartridge. Most likely, the receiver you've hooked it to doesn't have a phono input. Many receivers today don't come with one, and if you connect the turntable to a line-level input you get either very low volume or none at all, depending on the cartridge. What you'll need is a turntable preamp to boost the output to line level so the receiver will work properly. Radio Shack still carries a preamp, available online and in some stores. You can also find preamps online (here's one at Amazon). With the preamp connected you can use any free input on the receiver.

Check on vinylengine.com for a Users Manual. You can download it for free once you register. The gear wheel might not be set right. If that doesn't help, pick up a 6100 Service Manual. I think I bought mine on ebay for about $10

Mad cats mc2 with pedals

The easiest way to do this is to go online and order a PS2 controller to PC adapter on amazon.com or some other site. I have a Madcatz MC2 and a Ps2 controller to PC adapter (a cheap one -_-") and it works okay (I'm having a lot of trouble with the pedals though).
