If you are getting prompt, "This computer <Service tag number>-595B is password protected ..... you'll need to call Dell technical support to get the master password generated to clear the message. There is no hardware way to clear the password short of replacing the motherboard. Same applies for a BIOS level Hard Drive Password.

It is obvious you need to first access your AOL account in order to get into your email. Once you do that, go back to Facebook and click on their "forgot your password?" link so they can send you your password to your AOL email account.

Cant log in
You have two options, either figure out the password you put in previously, or recover the system from a backup. Note: the backup must have been made prior to now, and will use the same password you used to use. It is not possible to recover the password from a pc that you can't log into. It's a security risk.

Check your CAPs lock key and the spelling of the password.
Get another user to log in and go to Control Panel, User Accounts and edit your password.
Go ask your friend, spouse or kid that was messing with your PC and changed your password for a joke to help you.

First, try restarting your computer. Then, if you still cannot log in, try the 'forgot password' link. It will email you a link to change your password, then you can probably log in.

CANT LOG ONTO PC FORGOT MASTER PASSWORD
I would like to introduce Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista and windows 7. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password. I Wrote it to an old 128mb USB flash drive do this. I set a password for logging in but it wont let me log on now. I put the password in then it just hangs. How can I change it back?
you cant take the password off but you can log yourself in automatically so it doesnt ask for your password. basically just go on settings and then personalization and then log me in automatically. and that should solve the problem

Cant log on
1) Hit Ctrl + Alt + Del twice at the welcome screen. Type Administrator for the username, then try a blank password to log in.

2) Download the Ophcrack LiveCD, burn it to a CD, boot the laptop off it and it will crack the password for you.
