I disconnected the 3 wires on the right side of the circuit board, labeled com, heat1, and heat2. I still get an A05 error as soon as the temp setting reaches room temp. Do I have a bad circuit board?
Everytime I turn on the CZ heater, the display reads A05 and then it goes away when i set the temp. As far as I can see and feel, I'm not experiencing any issues with the heating, fan, or thermostat or the extension cord running hot. I'm concerned that something could be wrong or unsafe, with Comfort Zone filing for Chapter 7, anyone know who is offering support or a number I can contact?
Sounds like you are in need of a new pcb

For those like me who didn't know, Comfort Zone filed chapter 7 bankruptcy. There is limited support. I managed to get a hold of a former distributor. They provided me with troubleshooting manual. My initial assumption was correct. Bad PCB.
Mine had a sticker from the local distributor on the back. If yours doesn't, call 866-446-2846. They sent me (via email) a troubleshooting manual. They have limited support in terms of parts. And they are very busy. Expect to leave a voice mail and wait 2 or 3 days for a call back.
The control board is OK, A few components need to be replaced. The company will supply you with a new board for over $100, but this is not necessary. I've been repairing these units that flash the A05 code or slightly flash something on the display. My repair and testing only costs $75 for out of area repairs. $50 for dropped of units in the Western New York area. Contact me at [email protected] with any questions
