My washer makes 6 buzzes from front door no matter what i do and will not go into diagnostic mode just starts the pump every time i try to do anything. i hit signal delay signal delay and it buzzes 6 time then starts the pump. i put it on rinse spin and it buzzes 6 times then starts pump. door stays locked and have to manually release every time. could it be a main board problem? please say no... i just replaced the pressure switch due to being told by someone else that if it won't go into diagnostic mode that would be it, wrong did same thing.. model # is whdvh626fww
Hi,
I don't know how you could have got it into diagnostics mode by accident
- - but here's how it goes . Hit the power button until there is NO
display . Unplug and wait a minimum of 30 seconds , plug back in and
within 30 seconds hit SIGNAL button then DELAY START button then SIGNAL
button again then DELAY START button again. door should lock and
display t01 It is now in test mode . There are 14 different test it can
run through in this mode , but all we are trying to do is check for error codes
now and maybe get you back to normal, So turn the knob one click
clockwise and hit the START/PAUSE button and see if any error codes
come up. To exit the diagnostic mode - hit signal button then delay
start button then signal button then delay start button and you are out
of service test mode and back to normal
Hi there,
i would recommend to do a couple of checks before replacing any more parts:
check the door latch and make sure that the switch is engaging correctly. the buzzing may be coming from the door switch not engaging correctly.
from the sounds of your problem, you may have an intermittent door latch.
may i ask why you are running a diagnostic?
what was the original problem?
thanks
The main board is not doing what it is supposed to do. It controls everything, that's why replacing the pressure switch didn't fix the problem.
