Most of my games say the disc could not be read please refer to the wii operations manual for details?

Why do my wii games stop working they all say disc could not be read please refer to the wii operations manual this is really getting on my nerves and im not buying anymore wii games

Unable to read disc. Check with the wii opearations manual. Help with troubleshooting

    here are some things that may have happened

    Your disks are scratched ( get some new ones )
    The reader in you Wii has gone ( Open your wii up and check for any burnt out components)

    If your Wii makes a funny sound whilst trying to read the disks your disk holder has
    most likely come loose ( if this has happened you can re attach it if you open up the Wii, if it has snapped then you need to get it repaired )

    i have trouble shooting too but all i did to fix it was just add the stand so it has all of the bottom parts and then i moved the wii into a sertent area so it can work so thats how you cure trouble shooting i guess and now my wii works

Look,in order for your wii to work you either have to get a brand new wii lens or Sell your wii and just get a new one! Check the inside of your wii and make sure there is NO dust inside!!!!!!! Try using a air spary bottle to get it out and don't use any kind of physical force on your wii. Wii's are very very delicate!

Hello. Check For Scatches. If you see some, then take a damp smooth cloth and wipe from hole of disc to outside! DO NOT WIPE IN CIRCLES!

When inserting game disc it says "disc cannot be read. Refer to the wii operations manual."
  1. Refer to the Wii operations manual.
  2. Try cleaning the disc with a lint-free cloth. Wipe the disc in strait lines, not in a circle.
  3. Don't move the Wii around while there is a disc in it. Do this to prevent further damage.
  4. Try a different disc, preferably one that is much cleaner. If it doesn't work, there is an internal error with the Wii.

All you can do in this situation is try a lens cleaner. Unfortunately if the Wii is reading a disc part of the way and then failing later on, chances are the problem isn't a dirty lens and you Wii is going to need to be repaired. You are going to need to contact Nintendo to get it repaired. Their customer service number is 1-800-255-3700

Have you tried inserting other game discs? like 3 types of disc. If your Wii console plays those discs and don't play with the game disc that you wanted to play, then the format of that disc is not recognized by console. Some disc formats are sometimes incompatible with the player console.

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc.
