SOURCE: Sony KDF-E55A20 55 in. LCD... Problem red light flashes 5 times

A 5 blink error indicates a bad lamp driver. However a lamp may possibly cause this too. I suggest putting a new lamp in if you have one just to verify the lamp is not the problem. If it still fails with a new lamp then the lamp driver is the problem. This part should be replaced by a Sony authorized servicer. The lamp can be replaced easily by you. The lamp replacement instructions are in the TV's owners manual. Good Luck

SOURCE: Green light flashing on back of unit near power cord also green light flashing on motherboard near power supply plug in.

I would suggest trying to replace the power supply. If that does not fix the issue, i would need to hear more about the computer.

SOURCE: Continuous flashing green light

This link has the instructions on how to fix this problem and other similar problems. You
have nothing to lose, so I recommend that you try it.
http://www.somelifeblog.com/2007/06/sony-projection-tv-red-line-repair.html
This works with the two other colors, blue and green also. Not all models of Sony Projection
TVs have the red, green, and blue pots in the same order as the picture that is listed on
this link, so you may want to google search for your model's service manual. The service
manual can also help you be able to remove the cover for your particular model of TV. I was
able to find the service manual for my model, and sure enough, the order of the pots are
reversed on mine, so I would have been adjusting the wrong color. Read all of the comments
on this link too, because you can find other helpful tips and may even find someone with the
same model of TV as you that gives more specific instructions for your model.

You may also find your model's service manual here:

I hope this helps you!
Fare well. :)

P.S. You can also clean the mirrors and dry dust while you're in there which can help with blurriness and focus. You may have to adjust all three colors to get the picture back.

Sony TA-SA300WR surround amplifier red light keep blinking

Does it blink to the beat of the sound or is it flashing? If it's flashing with no audio it usually means overheating.
If it beats to the music it's usually is a warning that you are "clipping" which means you're overdriving the amplifier This can damage the speakers and overheat the amplifier.

Avoid red lights by having each stage of amplification not exceed 95%.

My bose cinemate 1 sr has a flashing red light and no sound. does not change to green light with sound.

This is a powered sub-woofer, with a complementary sound bar. The amplifier for the sub and the sound bar, are in the sub cabinet. Because there are multiple speakers in the sound bar and sub, there are multiple amplifiers to run them. If any, or all of the amplifiers are damaged, they generally have a condition known as DC Offset. There are sensor transistors on each of these amplifiers, which will "report" a damaged amplifier condition back to a microprocessor(computer inside the Bose system). When this damaged condition is identified, the amplifier will shut down the system, and that red indicator will flash. You will need a professional, audio specific technician, as this is not a DIY repair.

If any of you are interested in having your systems repaired, please contact me from my website, audioserviceclinic.com. Just FYI, this is not a Bose specific issue. The same problem can occur with any amplifier, any brand. Thank you.

My pioneer vsx 815 amplifier has a flashing blue standby light. Have tried resetting by pressing enter and advanced surround keys. All it does is flash a few other LEDs and then goes back to the flashing...

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-815-K-Receivers-manual/id/385dj989/t/2/

"enter and advanced surround keys"? I don't see that documented as a special function in the manual.

BTW: other than the Flashing light, is there a malfunction?

Page 72 describes how it REALLY resets...

Resetting the main unit

Use this procedure to reset all the receiver's settings to the factory default. Use the front

panel controls to do this.

1 Switch the receiver into standby.

2 While holding down the TONE button, press and hold the STANDBY/ON button for about three seconds.

3 When you see RESET? appear in the display, press ENTER .

OK? shows in the display.

4 Press SYSTEM SETUP to confirm.

OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver has been reset to the factory default
settings.

I have a Xplod XM-554ZR Car Amp and the green light is blinking it worked just befor and now i have no sound

The amp is in protection. Disconnect any speaker from it, then turn it back on, if it's not flashing, check your speakers with a meter and check speaker wires for shorts. If it's still flashing, you've blown the protection circuit and it needs to be replaced or repaired. Hope this helps

No Sound/ lights flashing on Amp

Disconnect your subs from the amp. If the lights go out then your sub is blown and is putting the amp into protect. If the lights keep flashing even with the subs disconnected than the Amp is toast.
