Thanks Richard Scott Technical Support New Zealand
Are you expecting for the disc to be auto run? not sure if you are using the correct disc to install the correct driver on the OS .. you need to make sure this is correct first before installing it.. below link might be hepful to resolve your issue and getting the correct driver http://etech.maiila.com/canon-pixma-mp210-photo-all-in-one-printer-driver-manual-and-software
your canon mp210 came with 2 hardrive discs try both. If this still did not work go on to the canon website and find your model of your printer then go on drivers and downloads. find your OS
thats ok just go to www.cannon.com under suport drivers software downloads area type in your model then vista or xp whatever u need save new driver to hard drive sumware then install it ok
You might want to check Canon's website to see if they provide a downloadable driver that will make your printer Vista compatible. Years ago, I had the same problem with an Epson all-in-one when making the jump from Windows 98 to XP. I was able to download and install a driver from Epson that restored most (but not all) of the device's functions.
You can go to Canon's Download Page for the MP210, when the page loads, choose your operating system in the drop down box (where it says "Select OS"), when the driver pops up below that, click on the underlined exe file, then when the new page loads, click on "I Agree - Begin Download", save and install!
yes you absolutely can...go to the canon website, and pick your printer out...under drivers tab. you will find the driver there to install your printer!
i lost my disk too:(
