Is there any default parental pin lock for this tv?

see if it has small reset switch on main board micro switch.press and hold few sec.while tv plug in.

Most tv's can be reset when you unplug them. Unplug the tv and let it set for about 30 min and plug it back in. This should reset the code to factory default of 0000.

0000,9999 are the default PINs to Sharp.

1- Power off TV
2- Unplug TV from outlet
3- Press and hold in the power button on the side of the TV for 30 seconds (while it is unplugged from the wall)
4- Release the power button
5- Plug in the TV
6- Power the TV back on

It could be that the CHILD LOCK is engaged.

Try 0000 or 1234.

Then use the menu to turn it off.

Otherwise unplug the power cord and leave it out for a few hours to clear the internal memory and reset to default settings.

This TV calls it "V-Chip". Code is "0000" by default.

1. go to TV User Menu
2. select "TV" menu
3. selct "V-Chip"
4. change this to a lower setting

I'ts possible that by accident someone activated the parental lockout. Your best bet is to locate your instruction manual and find the default code. Also problems(usually with software) can cause the the tv to do unusual things. Leave the set unplugged for at least 24 hours, the see if there is a response with the buttons on the tv.
