Where is the fuse in a ps3 - Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

hello, have you checked the glass fuse inside the ps3 it will been in the power supply , you will need a multimeter to test the fuse beware if you replace the fuse and it blows again then there a dead short someware i' e a bad component good luck

hello have you check the fuse in the black lead if ok then check the fuse in side the ps3 there might be a glass type fuse or a soldered in type called a wickman good luck

Either power supply problem or blown surface mount fuse on the main board. First check all SMD fuses on the main board, and the fuse on the power supply board. If the power supply board fuse has blown replace it and try again, if it blows again you need to replace the power supply. If the power supply seems OK check all SMD fuses on the main board. There are 7 on the V3 and about a dozen on the V4 / V5 / V6.

There are no fuses inside a PS3.

It sounds like you're using a damaged power strip; however, this issue can be caused by a bad outlet.

Replace the fuse and plug the unit into a different outlet. If the fuse blows, you need to go to a video game store an purchase a new power strip.

Hi there, by the sounds of it you could have faulty fuses, Whether its inside the console itself or inside the Power adaptor its Uncertain. Before opening up Your PS3 i would suggest Checking the fuse in the power adaptor to make sure that is not fried. if it isnt. then it must be something to do with the power input to your PS3 Device. it could be either the Fuse or The transistors on the Power input Circuit. When you Pop open your PS3, Go straight to the back-end where the power input is located, and see if any of the fuses or transistors look fried, if they are. then that is where your fault lies !

PS3 unit has fuses that probably failed. I wouldn't void the warrenty to try and change them yourself but this would be the place to start if you take it in for repair.

Try the fuse box in your house first then check if your plug is working (on the wall). If its broken you'll have to send it to Sony.

I THINK YOU NEED TO BUY NEW RCA JACKS,, BECAUSE IF THE ELECTRICAL FUSE WENT FROMT HE TV TO RCA JACKS THEN ALL THE CORDS THAT PLUGS TO THE PS2 ARE SHORTED OUT.
