Don't know how to record or watch back a recording

We have two CVC6993R cameras connected to pc (vista). We can see pictures very clearly but are struggling with recording. We are trying to record on motion. Somtimes the R comes on the corner of the screen which we think means that it's recording if it is we are unable to access it. I hope you can help.

SOURCE: playback static

Your video heads are probably dirty. I have the same problem with mine too. If you buy a 8mm video cassette cleaner, it should work. Unless there is some other problem.

SOURCE: record directly from jvc model GR-- D370U Digital Video Camera to my pc

Sorry, but it's not possible to record directly to a PC. Windows movie maker will only record from a tape. Please use a quality cable like Belkin, I have had issues with the cheaper firewire cords.
Good luck

SOURCE: My New Panasonic RR-US470 digital

What you need to do is unistall the driver for the device and reinstall it using the CD.

1. With the device connected go to the control panel
2. Search "driver" in the search box at the top right hand side of the screen
3. Choose the "device manager" option. If a pop up appears just choose continue.
4. At the bottom of the list open the menu for the "Universal Serial Bus Controllors" if it is not already open.
5. Double click on the "Panasonic IC Recorder" choice to open a new menu
6. Click on the "driver" tab
7. At the bottom of the list is the "uninstall driver (Advanced)" button, click it
8. After the driver is uninstalled disconnect the device from the PC
9. Reconnect the device, and it will bring up a new pop up. Choose the "Install Driver" option, it should be the first
10. It will then ask you to insert the CD that came with the device, just insert disc 1 in to the CD tray

Vista takes over from there and installs the driver for you and now your device will show the PC on the screen.

Hope that helps, I know it worked for me

Ok, if i record mself singing and upload it to the computer...will i be able to here me sing there or not at all???

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. All digitals camera has a features of video recordings, however they have the difference when you try to review or watch it thru the camera itself. I have the same camera as yours, First I thought that my camera was damaged because I don't hear any sounds at all when I'm trying to view/watch my brother's gradustion day. When I try to transfer all the data on my computer, thinking that trying to re-format the camera will be the resolution for my issue to hear the sounds of my recordings. While listening to a music while reviewing my pictures on the computer, I heard a different sounds, then when I try to pause my music, I'm happy to hear that its my brother's video on his graduation.

The answer to your question if your going to upload your video on your computer, YES! you can hear the sounds of your recordings thru your computer.

Please let me know if you have any question.

Thank you for using Fixya,

I have a Philips DVDR 3575H. using Comcast's

Try this set up-

Use an RCA audio/video cable for this set up (Yellow/Red/White).

Connect from the Video out (Yellow) connection on the back of the cable box to the Video in on the back of the DVR.

Connect the audio (Red/White) cables from audio out connection on the back of the cable box to the "Audio in" on the back of the DVR.

This should still get you a decent picture but not a true HD picture for your recordings.

When you set the timer to record set it to record either E1 or E2 depending on which input you connected the cable box to and ensure that the cable box is tuned to the channel you wish to record.

*** NOTE: If you keep the HDMI cable connected as you have for the cable box and watch normal TV through the HDMI input on the TV you will get HD programming for your general viewing but still have the option to record with the DVR at a lower quality. ***

Good Luck and please rate this solution....

I have a security camera outside that runs to tv with rca cables. i want to record to a vcr which is connected to tv by coax. i cant get it to record the camera picture. can u help?

The coax connection is one-way RF only from the VCR to the TV. It cannot be used to record from TV to VCR.
Run the RCA cables to the Line or Aux input on the VCR first. Watch on the TV through the coax connection to the TV. You can watch even when not recording the camera signal on the VCR by setting the output of the VCR to Line instead of a channel.
Another option would be to connect a component (RCA) output from the TV (if there is one) to the VCR Line or Aux input.

Can only tape clear pictures on DVD recorder from BBC1/BBC2 EX78E

Are you in the UK? Is the new DVD player compatible with TV in your area?

Some technical details like make and model would be helpful.

DVD recorder only records the channel being watched. How do you record and watch a seperate channel with satelite tv

You need to connect the TV to the aerial output socket on the DVD player. If this is not clear get back to me. Then you can record one channel whilst watching another.

Cheers
