Input not Support

It sounds like the resolution for your computer graphics are not compatible with your display.
In any case first thing to check is if the monitor cable has been disturbed; next try powering-down (everything) and leave it for a few minutes, power back-up and see if it fixes itself, if not Power-down, wait a few seconds, Power-up then press Shift & F8 as soon as Windows starts loading (you have to be quick, so might need several attempts), that should get you to the recovery Screen, then Try TroubleShoot and Automatic Repair.
Also, you might strt up in Safe mode. If your montor works, might be the driver.

My problem is getting a "This signal is not supported message" on an HDMI input into a Pioneer PDPR05G media receiver.

No need to understand - just read the message, It clearly states that the unit will not accept that particular signal because its electronics are not configured to deal with it. And that is it - end of story.

Basically, you cannot force a square peg into a round hole.

Why my Pc monitor showing Input not supported?

There are several inputs that a monitor can handle depending if it's capable of doing so. For example, just like TV, if you want to watch a DVD, you have to change the input to Video and going back to TV, just choose TV input. The same way for computer monitors. If the monitor supports VGA, DVI, HDMI and others, you have to select the right input depending of the type of Video cable connected from your tower to the monitor. If you it is connected via VGA, choose VGA input. If the cable is HDMI, select HDMI. That will let your monitor switch from one input to the other..

Hope that works for you. -
I'll appreciate the feedback and the thumbs up.
Thanks.

Got given a Samsung SP42Q2HL and only one scaret input works properly the other 2 are dark in colour when using them all so can you connect up a hd sky box upto it using the component inputs?

The protocol for scart sockets is, Black in colour = all pins connected and both in and out are supported. Blue in colour = only video in and audio in connected.
If you wish to use RGD, if the tv supports it, use the black socket. Some support S Video input.
Component inputs are not supported with scart as a general rule.

TRYING TO INPUT LAPTOP TO RGB IN,AUDIO WORKS BUT VISUALY "NO SIGNAL"

Reading the online manual - You should have the laptop connected by VGA - PC input
VGA Connection you need to select the correct input on the TV
  • Select the RGB-PC input source on the TV using the INPUT button on the remote control.
you will need to set the laptop up to output to the VGA output, to do this - varies by different manufacturers - But often F4 or F5, with the FN key selects the VGA output - have a look at the F keys across the top of the machine and see if you can see a picture of a screen - then use the FN and that F key together to toggle between display it will change to <Laptop Screen Only><Laptop screen and VGA output><VGA output only> not necessarily in that order.

When switching ford one user to another a input not supported

You get input not supported because the another user had set the video resolution too high for the monitor to display. Try looking into the resolution setting.
